You get what you pay for, but with that being said let me elaborate a bit. Having been a woodworker for the past 3 decades Ive used a number of different router bits of varying quality. The Yonico bit is an average to lower end bit that will do what you need it to do if you are careful and patient with them. They are not top end bits that will leave a much smoother edge, but you will have to pay at least twice as much to get that level of quality. I needed the bit to round over the corners of a white ash blanket chest, and knowing that I would have to do some hand sanding anyhow the Yonico did what I needed it to do. Anyone who has worked with white ash knows how easy it chips under the strain of a router unless you are patient and understand when to work in reverse. By using several shallow cuts I avoided any chipping and was left with a decent enough edge that simply needed some touch up sanding. If it were a more complex design than a round over bit, I probably would have spent the money to get a much better bit and skipped the Yonico. Since it was a simple round over bit, I had no issues using this bit with the full expectation of having to do some touch up sanding to complete the process.

I’ve had great results with Yonico bits, especially considering the low cost. This one is no exception. It can save a lot of time vs. hand sanding in situations where you want a subtly rounded edge.

Great fit in the router, cuts well, at least on pine :)

Nothing. The router bit performed well and good value for the price I paid.

The bits come in a beautiful sturdy wood box. The carbide is very high quality and brazing is very clean on each bit of my set. The non-stick yellow coating is applied clean and even. The bearings are high quality and bolt down well and secure on to the shaft of the bits. The name on the shaft is put on neatly on each bit of the set. There was also an surprise coupon in the packaging for future purchases!. Bits run very well on the router and perform very well hand held or on the table. I have routed many feet of MDF, plywood and soft woods like pine. The bits route clean and there is no strain on the router, I feel that I was able to route my stock a lot quicker than with my lonely old round over bit this set replaced. I had only one scrap of poplar to try for hardwood and it did just fine. Tips: 1) as soon you receive the bits inspect them. 2) be very careful removing them from the box as the carbide will cut your fingers and you see it before you feel it. 3) inspect and clean the bits to remove the manufacturing sticky stuff. 4) The carbide edges on the smallest three bits can touch at their widest point when inserting in the box. Take care to stagger the edges so they dont touch. Update: I had an issue with one bearing and emailed customer support. I got a response in a couple of hours and they only asked for a picture of the errant bearing and mailed out a new one the same day. Thats good customer service. The feel good part of this event is that in the initial response, Jonathan the CSR advised that all the bits of the set have the same size bearing and I can swap them to finish my project in time. Saved my weekend. Thats thoughtful customer service. To watch the this brands bits in action view the review by WoodWorkWeb on youtube.
