So very easy! I put it down on the patio, put the cat food bowl on top and voila! No more ants in food or anywhere! They gave up! Easiest thing Ive ever done! Worth every penny!

To preface this review; we only have to deal with small black ants, so no clue if this would be effective against fire ants or any larger kind of ant. Weve tried to deal with feeding some outdoor cats for years, and lost so many bowls of catfood to the ants, but this one actually worked! In the image, you can see some food spilled out (messy cats..), and the ants are all over them, but the bowl itself is ant free. There were two other bowls (not pictured) to the left and right that were similarly swarmed with ants, so it wasnt that the ants didnt want the food; they just couldnt reach it. Definitely considering a repeat purchase, though the price is a bit high, and the description/manual is very.. not proper english. But it works!

I really wasnt sure if it was going to work but we have a big ant problem and this is working great.

I bought the product due to an ant infestation inside my house. Pretty disgusting to find them in my cats’ dishes first thing in the morning. Though the ants haven’t been back since I got the product, I’ve been using it just in case. It’s well made and the only thing I recommend is using a dish with some weight and a nonskid bottom as the dish/plate might otherwise slip off. I’m ready for the ants if they come back!
