So far so good. I bought these to replace the original foam filters for our Fluval 406 filter. They are very similar and much cheaper then buying the OEM filters. I rinsed them before use and so far Ive had no problems with cleaning or with the fish having a negative reaction.

These work great in m Fluval 405. I used to wash out the nasty, gunky foam pads and reuse them a couple times before discarding, but with how much cheaper these are and how infrequently I need to change my filter, I no longer bother. Ive bought these multiple times now, and will continue to do so as long as they are available and my old Fluval stays running.

I have a fluval 406 and these were perfect.
