I would not recommend this product. It is cheap and the bearings always are going out after as little as 20 minutes of use. The time I spent changing the bearings was not worth the 20 dollars I spent. Would buy a better quality any day of the week.

Pros: * Theyre very cheap. * They seem to be reasonably well made. Cons: * There is a lot of drag in whatever they used to lubricate these. It doesnt feel like the drag is from the bearing itself so much as it feels like they used a very heavy grease to lubricate them. I would only use these for very low-speed applications with enough torque to overcome the drag.

I was expecting to get the same bearings in the picture which showed ABEC-7 bearings. They also came very dirty and greasy. They barely rolled and was just a half step up from the 20 year old rusty ABEC-1 bearings that were on the board before hand. Changed the wheels and trucks so I know that wasnt the problem.

I ordered these because I have some applications that go through bearings quickly and quality wasnt my main concern. I was very impressed with the bearings I received. They came in ten tubes of ten bearings in two seperate boxes. With this quantity of bearings for this price I expected a decent number of defects, but Id estimate issues with less than 10% of the bearings. Thats an acceptable rate to me for the price.

So I opened the a contaner, each one has a set of ten. First thing I noticed is the seals looked odd. So I pop one out, they are plastic, not rubber of any kind. Thereis very very little grease inside, could be a good thing or bad depending on your use. My intened use is for a bearing to last so I need grease inside. So I check 10 more same thing. That takes me to the biggest problem. These called seals you can see the balls inside with the seals in place from the factory. No way will they seal in the grease or keep dirt out.

WayneChicago wrote an excellent review. You should read that before reading mine. He outlines is perfect detail all the reasons why people buying these are complaining. Only he says it with tact and finesse. But I dont have that. So if you want a more direct rebuttal to the absolute nonsense youll read in the product review section about these being akin to sand-filled garbage, then keep reading. However, If sciency words are just flowery nerdspeak to you and breaks your brain, then just sop reading now and go buy the grossly overpriced BONES bearings. They make the cool whizzing sound on first rip out of the box. Plus theyre all shiny and you cant put a price on shiny, can you? Now....If youre not a mental tree stump and words with more than 3 syllables dont frighten you, then by all means, continue on! General Complaint: These are covered in some kind of oil and dont spin. Rebuttal: That is CORRECT! The insides are packed with grease which is thick. Think cooled bacon grease. When you reheat cooled bacon grease, what happens to it? It thins out and becomes more viscous, right?? Same thing applies here. These are packed with grease because theyre designed to be run in machines for long periods of time. Which means heat from rotational friction, which means the grease viscosity inside the bearing thins due to thermal conduction. This is WHY they were built the way they come in the box. So you can use them in machine type applications right out of the box, where thermal friction needs to be considered. Ok, but can I still use them for skateboard or roller skate wheels though? YES, you can but you need to do a little work first. No big deal if youre not lazy. If you want these bearings to spin like a fidget spinner and go whizzzzzzz, you have to dissolve the grease inside the bearings and use a thinner lubricating agent in its place. WayneChicago goes over how to do just that in his review. So I dont have to. Thanks, Wayne! *fistbump* And if you cant find WayneChicagos review, dont act like you dont have Google. Just look up How to dissolve grease in ball bearings. This isnt rocket science... As far as I can tell, the outside grease feel is just machining oil which is often times applied to metal surfaces as a water repellant to keep the surfaces from rusting due to atmospheric conditions. Wood workers and machine shop operators know exactly what Im talking about. Probably some mechanics too. Why would they do that? Well...where are these things made? Is there any water that might get into the bearings in transit from the factory to your house? Yeah, there is. Theres literally an ocean of it. Highly corrosive salt water to boot. So, in order to make sure these dont arrive as little jammed up rust cakes at your doorstep courtesy of the Amazon delivery guy, they coat them in a light oil or maybe even some of the inner grease to prevent that from happening. Youre WELCOME!! Its a prophylactic measure against people who dont know better. And also so people dont buy these and end up in their review section complaining about that too. Like so many other people are out here doing. The people complaining simply dont know what they dont know. And are trashing a decent product for the price from a company that is CLEARLY putting in an honest effort to deliver value to the consumer for a VERY REASONABLE PRICE. Some of these might have manufacturing defects, Some might last longer than others. When I bought mine they were under $0.30 each. Im not putting mine under heavy load for long durations anyways, and Ill have PLENTY of replacements should some of them give out, as they sometimes do. I have not tested them yet but I dont need to to know that I DID NOT get screwed on the transaction. This is EXACTLY what I expected and Im sure will exceed my expectations in performance. Sure, you get what you pay for. But if you know what you need to know before making a purchase, youll find INCREDIBLE value in these bearings given youre buying them for the right application. If you find yourself with a chapped ass complaining about this product because you didnt know what you needed to know before making the purchase, chances are you also didnt take my advice and spring for the BONES. And thats on you, playa... -5 Stars.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was an incredibly poor quality product. I should have realized that a 100 pack of skateboard bearings would not deliver the best quality or consistency, but I bought this without better judgement. I sheared my first 2 bearings in the first week. I shredded a couple more before I finally vowed to not use these again. I suppose these cheap quality bearings could be used in a pinch, but they are slower (more friction) than good bearings, and will break WAYYY quicker than any quality materials. You will get good at riding without functional bearings if you try to use these very long.

Did not fit as expected, fits sloppily on the axle what about a half a millimeter of Clarence although this may have been partially my fault but

Yup, they are bearings. But would not give above a C rating for condition, even at this price. Packing was lacking. All just in a big bag. I found at least 3 different labels on the seals so thinking its a mixed batch of brands. Probably why some seem ok and some not so much. Also cleanliness control was lacking somewhere. as several of them have heavy grit all over. Normally would not care that much, but considering the seal is questionable on many of them as well, its likely the grit got into some. Wanted to use out of the bag, not have to clean and re-lube before use. One seal was missing a part altogether, and others have gap where you can see the bearing inside. Would have been just as well to get non-sealed bearings.

These bearings are not hardened as advertised. Upon disassembling, the bearing races and even bearing balls were not hardened and could be easily deformed with slight pressure between pliers and were also easily filed with low grade carbon steel hand files. The wobble was also significant, with the inner shaft and outer being able to skew in excess of 4 degrees without load. The seals were also garbage with holes and flashing still present, but that of lesser importance. Perhaps a more telling sign is the warning in the photo: Note... not professional bearings. That is, these are not bearings any company would use in a consumer product. Because they are not precise, wear will increase. Because they are not hardened, they will easily abrade away. The thick grease is likely there to disguise the rough texture of the races and the already malformed balls. If you use these bearings, do not do so in an expensive piece of equipment or in a skateboard where a bearing failure could mean a trip to the hospital. Go ahead and drop the same amount of money on 6-12 good bearings from a reputable source. If, however, you are going to make a fidget spinner, go nuts. Thats about the only use where quality is of second concern.
