With two of these paired together, they worked just fine and I got full gigabit speeds. After a few weeks I had an issue where both SFP modules stopped working so I reached out to 10gTek at their Amazon seller address. Amy was great to work with and sent me out two new SFP modules so the units are now working well again.

Not an Ethernet to fiber media converter. Fiber media has a different connection to a TV, receiver, or even a Blu-ray player.

Initially I couldnt get this to work when connected to my TP-link T2600G switch and LC multimode cable and Gtek module. The support I received was excellent and I managed to get full speed from the device. The network switch setting was changed to Auto Duplex.

This item worked perfectly for our situation. We had an endpoint well over 300ft away, so we ran Cat6 to the converter, and ran the remaining length with OM3 MMF out to the endpoint. The unit powered right up, negotiated at the intended 1Gb/Full Duplex, and has remained connected with no packet loss. Excellent solution for very cheap!

I purchased 2 of these. No issues at all. Using 1 gig fiber SFPs connected to cisco switchs. They just work. Products were well packed, no damage. Very simple.ple plug and play.

I bought this for my computer room. Once I connected this media converter via multimode fiber to my Cisco 3750 switch, it linked up immediately. Im extremely impressed and may buy a second one for my shop.

Worked fine at end of 80ft OM3 MMF aqua LC LC run. Inexpensive option for connecting a fiber run to a device that does not have its own SFP port.
