Works fine on other switches but causes flapping when used in MikroTik switches. Check out the MikroTik S+RJ10 if you need 10G-BaseT in MikroTik hardware.

I havent tested this working, but it definitely doesnt work with an intel x520-sr2 ( 82599ES ) It doesnt work with my TL-SX3008F either, despite claiming to work with TP-link devices. The transceivers that came with my intel x520 worked with the switch fine. I even bought 2 of these and tried both, when I connect them to my intel card, the driver crashes.

I ordered the ipolex Gigabit SFP Copper RJ45 1000Base-T model and this works with my MikroTik. I had to make some changes on the OS for it to communicate with the device. If you have issues with it just seeing activity you may need to turn off the auto-negotiation feature on the port and set the speed to 1GB for it to start working. This is what I needed to do. After this it started working without any issues. So far everything is working as described and getting the full speeds listed.

Just plug in and go. Established 10G link on RJ45 right away. using Cat8 cable. X520 setup on Open Media Vault - Debian. It just works.

Upgraded to Sonic 10G and existing CAT5e worked (approx 10 meter) with it to bring 10G connection.

These work great and I will get more when needed.

For those of you who have Intel x550 adapters such as the Sonnet Twin 10G (Thunderbolt 2) you may have experienced pain with consistent throughput with Marvel Based 10Gb switches like DLINK. It seems you could always sustain 7-8Gbps down, and roughly 2.5-2.8 Gbps out. I decided before I start changing network adapters or switches I would give this a try now that 10Gbase-T SFP adapters are reasonable. Well it worked, I can now sustain between 10.5 and 11.1Gb/s both directions. This matches what I get when directly connecting an Intel x550 and x540 on 10GBase-T directly attache with a 25 CAT7 cable. This is so much easier than ripping out infrastructure!!!! I have used the poleax 10gb SFP 10gb SR transceivers extensively and they have been rock solid. Sure is nice when you just plug and forget and the data keeps crunching!

Good Value SFP+ Connector -- Works with Ubiquiti Dream Machine (UDM) Pro and allows 10G connections. Runs a little warm to the touch, but that is as expected.

Picked up a used Aruba S2500-24T for $50 and paired it with this transceiver. Works great. Enabled jumbo frames on my equipment and this NIC and Im getting 9.89 gigabits to my home server in iperf3. Im happy.
