> 3 dayFor those of you who have Intel x550 adapters such as the Sonnet Twin 10G (Thunderbolt 2) you may have experienced pain with consistent throughput with Marvel Based 10Gb switches like DLINK. It seems you could always sustain 7-8Gbps down, and roughly 2.5-2.8 Gbps out. I decided before I start changing network adapters or switches I would give this a try now that 10Gbase-T SFP adapters are reasonable. Well it worked, I can now sustain between 10.5 and 11.1Gb/s both directions. This matches what I get when directly connecting an Intel x550 and x540 on 10GBase-T directly attache with a 25 CAT7 cable. This is so much easier than ripping out infrastructure!!!! I have used the poleax 10gb SFP 10gb SR transceivers extensively and they have been rock solid. Sure is nice when you just plug and forget and the data keeps crunching!

> 3 dayI bought 4 of these with the 4 port mikrotik 10 gig switch. My computers show connected at 10 gig. My gaming rig has onboard 10 gig and my other two computers have Intel 10 gig NICs installed. I can download from the internet and max my 1 gig connection no problem. When I internally transfer a large group of files, I am only seeing 1 Gbps transfer speeds, not 10 Gbps speeds. I use cat 7 outdoor rated cable and Link up cat 8 field termination plugs and keystones. My cables have been tested. I’ll be ordering a mikrotik 10 Gbps switch with rj-45 built in. Sure it costs over $500 but when you spend 150 or so for the small switch and then almost $100 each for decent transceivers you have spent $500....... the mikrotik 10 Gbps switch with built in rj-45 has 12 ports!

> 3 dayI have an Aruba S2500-48P switch that has 4 SFP+ interfaces that are noted as only supporting 1gig copper modules in the manual but on a whim i grabbed this thinking if it doesnt work no big deal, but sure enough right out of the package and loaded it into the powered on switch and it picked it up and saw it without issues or additional tricks like enabling unsupported transceivers etc.. Connected to my google router and full10g works perfect on a cat6 cable! Ordered 3 more now. I havent tested jumbo frames/mtu yet but I will update if any issues. > 3 dayThis is just a first impressions review but so far these modules are working great with a Cisco 3750-X that has a C3K-NM-10G uplink module inserted. I have both 10g SFP slots populated with this SFP connected to a server with an integrated Intel X550-AT2 chipset/phy (using these ports to connect an edge device rather than uplink to another switch/router, it’s just my home lab network). No special iOS configuration is required on the switch. iOS thinks they are real Cisco SFPs and they ID themselves as such. There are no SFP diagnostics/stats available that I can tell but no big deal IMO. I am using two .5m CAT6 (not CAT6a) cables with no issues, obviously this is a short run so I wasn’t expecting any issues there.

Greater than one weekJust like the title says, its not compatible with unifi stuff. I purchased 2 pairs to run fiber cable and it would not work at all. Tried everything I could, the moment I plug in official Unifi modules everything worked right away. It was plug and play with unifi modules, while these gave me a ton of trouble and still never worked properly.

> 3 dayI ordered the 1.25G to RJ45 for Ubiquiti. These do not work with 100mb devices on a USW Aggregation. Ive never run into anything gigabit that was not backwards compatible but these simply do not work with 100mb devices. They seem fine for gigabit but all the little smart home hubs and what not use 100mb to keep costs down and these dont work with them.
