> 24 hourI really like this wool ironing mat. It did smell a bit like a sheep when I received it but I sprayed it with Febreeze and no issues. Doesnt make what I iron smell either. It is a really good size. The only issue I had was user error, had my iron up too hot and scorched a little bit of the mat. Doesnt affect the mat at all. So glad I bought this.

> 24 hourBought this as a gift for my mother who is an avid quilter. I used it to iron some material for her while she worked on a project and kept getting a residue on the iron. I would aggressively rub most of it off with a paper towel but it kept returning. It would occasionally rub off onto the material. Very undesirable. Other buyers report the same issue. This cant possibly be 100% wool. There is no smell of burning hair as you would expect if the wool itself was degrading. I suspect an adhesive, binder, dye, or synthetic fiber is mixed in for cost savings.

> 24 hourThere is no way this is a five star reviewed product. There is no way that this product is 100% wool and the very first time my iron touched the pad it was covered in black goo which then transferred to my project. Shame on Amazon for carrying this.
