Before, we bought an authentic MAKITA backing pad (ASIN B002AQT8PU), and we were thrilled. After a lot of deck sanding, I decided to try the “Amazon’s Choice” this time: FAIL. My wife tried to apply this to our sander, and one screw would not align, so she couldn’t get it tightened down... and *boom*. Spend the extra buck and get the real deal.

I didn’t understand the way you present the item. You said “ one pack “. What’s that? You’ll supposed to say: one table, the way you said sounds like a “pack” more than one, so I got confused and bought one pack when I tough that I was getting two pieces!

As expected

Yes, I saw the bad reviews but thought I would try one anyway. (I also bought an OEM DEWALT pad at the same time, somewhat expecting to be disappointed with this 1/2 price plastic POS). It installed fine. I started a not very intense sanding job and noticed some strange loud vibration sounds and then the pad completely separated from the sander. Upon examination (see photos), the screw holes had enlarged enough to cause the separation. No fix looks possible. That is my $8+ lesson for the day. Maybe it will help you decide not to buy this one. Looking at all the options here, I am not sure which would be better. Ill be installing the DEWALT later today...hoping it is higher quality than this cheap plastic one.

The replacement was exactly as expected. My sander was 10 yrs old and the Velcro was worn. This replacement saved me money and the environment by not buying w new sander. Works great!

Just what was needed to fix a damaged pad on a Makita sander. Perfect replacement.

The pad fit perfectly and is a very good quality product for the money
