> 3 dayThe quality of these cutting tool are great. Upon arrival you will notice that every piece of hole punch has a burr or the inside along the edge. To remove the burr, I just used a rolled 1000 grit sand paper and used it as a strop to remove the burr edges, Just make sure to only sand away from the burr edge to pull the burr piece back up again or snap off. Once the burr is removed from every hole punch, you will be able to make sharp hole punches if you use the correct bottom plastic punch board and a solid base. If you don’t have a solid bottom heavy base, your hole punches may not get the correct pressure needed for a nice hole punch. I used this punch set to cut into 1/8 thick cowhide leather to make perfect sized holes. I pitched a plastic bottom punch board which feel like a plastic cutting board. For my solid base, I used a 25 all steel weight lighting plate and hit my leather with the plastic.punch board between them. It works flawlessly and the edges stay sharp longer if you remove the burr before using. Takes less than 1/2 hour to de-burr the whole set. I used a cheap rubber mallet with a wooden handle to hit the back of the punch tool. No damages done to the tool and the rubber mallet works perfectly. I rate this product as 5 Stars for quality and value, All it takes is a little de-burring and you set for a long while before sharpening.

> 3 dayTried cutting small fleece circles. They never tell you what kind of surface to use. Started with wood, but just pressed into the wood and dented the fabric. Plastic on the wood finally did cut fabric after it cut through the plastic, but now have to buy as much plastic as fabric. Tried soft or thin metals, but same as wood and plastic. Tried a heavy duty cutting mat, thicker than quilter style mats, and again the fabric would not cut unless you hit really hard; then it cuts through the mat and uneven cuts on fabric. Tried metal similar to door hinge, not too hard, not too soft. Notta. After a few hits, the punch rolls inwards. Now a nice little biscuit cutter with non-threatening edges, other than the dough would catch up in the rolled up edge of the punch. Why cant someone make a punch that cuts fabric! You can cut metal and leather, but not fabric. I just dont get it!

> 3 dayThe item was shipped quickly, upon my inspection of the kit I was very impressed with the thickness of the punches. The box housing the punches is also impressive, looks to be a kit I will be able to get a lot of use out of.

Greater than one weekI bought this set for its variety of sizes; that was a plus. I needed to make ONE specific rubber gasket. The performance of the cutting edges was sub-par; in a 1/8 piece of rubber, I had to pound the cutter 10+ times, pretty hard, to get it to cut through. Not what I was expecting.
