> 24 hourAw man! I put so much effort into researching this purchase. It gets here. I take it out of the box, plug in the power cord and what!? The thing didnt connect securely. What a disappointment. So I repackaged it and shipped it back. That was 5 days ago. Still awaiting my refund.

> 24 hourWhen you buy a computer do you think about inspecting the keyboard? Arent all keyboards universal? Dont you have an expectation of what you will get when you order a full sized keyboard? Well, give that thought up. The keyboard is close and crowded. The number pad is 1/3 the size it should be. I mean tiny!! The decimal key has been replaced by and enter key and the decimal is now in the bottom center of the keypad. Ever seen that? Every number pad operator in the world knows the pinky pushes the decimal. Not on this one!! Also, they removed the home key which I use all the time in Excel. To get HOME you have to turn off the number lock, hit the 7 key then turn the number pad back on to continue entering #s. Yep, that is not a full size standard keyboard at all and they dont care. The response from the seller was look at the picture. I cant return it and I cant live with this for the next 3-4 years. This was my 3rd and my last acer.

> 24 hourThis is great. It worked right out of the box. It of course suggests plugging it in during set up. Someone mentioned it doesnt come charged up. I havent experienced any brand new computer arriving fully charged. It did come in that S mode everyone was talking about in the reviews. I had no problem disabling it. It said I couldnt download a program because it was in the S mode and asked if I wanted to disable it. I clicked yes and it walked me through disabling it. After that I was able to download everything I needed. I do know computers on a higher level than most but I think it was super simple to set up. Many, many years ago I use to dread getting new computers because of all the work it took to set them up. I would say it took me maybe 20m-30m to tops. We are professional photographers but dont want to put the extra money into the high end computers. This is perfect! After downloading my photoshop program (easy to install by the way) I was editing photos faster than on my old laptop. The view of the photos are amazing. I did a lot of research before deciding on this one. I am so happy I did. I think I read a review where they said the screen wasnt clear but I dont get that. It is crystal clear. The colors are great. If you want an affordable one this is the best Ive owned so far. I wouldnt pay attention to the negative reviews... I havent had any negative experiences yet.

> 24 hourI purchased this in May of 2021. It is now July 2022. Depite the low volume issue as others have stated it is fixable adding a speaker. The main reason for the 1 star is that no matter what fix is applied, this laptop constantly loses connectivity. It will usually reconnect on its own in a few seconds. But at times takes longer. It has gotten really annoying. I had an Acer 7R that was a bit slower but there were never connectivity issues.

> 24 hourAcer is #1 brand for everyday laptops in $500 price range. I bought this for my parents to replace their desktop. Always a good buy. Acers are easy to use (and update), dependable, & have sleek yet sturdy (but not too heavy) design for laptops @ 15”+ size .
