This computer took about 5 minutes to set up, which was great. The camera is not the best but it is in a great place and can be covered up at any time. The ACER AIO computer had many updated items included and is very fast to connect to the internet. I stayed with ACER because the last one I had still works but it has slowed down a lot over the 8 years that I have had it. Because of the long life of my previous Acer I decided to buy another one. This seems to be a great computer and the price point for the same specs compared to Dell and HP AIO was around $300.00 less. I dont do gaming on my computer but I do a lot of work from home and shopping. This one doesnt have a touch screen like the last one I had did, but I never seemed to use the touch screen all that much. All in all I think this is a great computer.

Just some qualification and backstory for this review. Im an IT tech with 25+ years of experience. I had a long time client and friend ask me for a recommendation on an all in one computer for work. He just needed a PC for basic things like remote access to Quickbooks, Word, Excel, Outlook, web browsing, etc. I came across this computer and had to really search for anything hidden in the fine print because the specs at this price point seemed hard to believe. My friend bought it and I ended up spending a few hours with it setting it up to meet his needs. With that being said......

This is my second Acer computer, and they have made some strange design decisions in some of their newer models. For example, this all-in-one desktop does not have any USB-C ports! This is really shocking, since some companies only use USB-C ports on their latest models. This is 2021, not 2016. It would have made more sense to have 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports on the back instead of 4 USB-A ports. Another strange decision is to go with a regular HD screen instead of QHD or 4K. When youre sitting this close to a 27-inch screen, the higher resolution would be much more useful. The amount of RAM that is included is enough, but 16GB would have been a better choice rather than the included 12GB. The overall performance is fairly good, but I do not recommend using this computer for gaming, since it only includes integrated graphics and does not have a way to add a separate GPU, either internally or externally. This computer is OK if you want a system that you can just take out of the box and use, but its not a great value in my opinion for the reasons I mentioned. For the same amount of money, you could end up with a much better system unless you absolutely need an all-in-one form factor.

I’ve been using a 14” laptop as the main computer for my home office and it’s taking a toll on my eyes. Ever since I got the Acer Aspire C27-1655-UA91 AIO Desktop with 27” Full HD IPS Display, what a world of difference it makes. The screen is super large, I can now see things without squinting.

What it takes so long to setup, more than an hour! Insane.

There is a lot to like about this all in one. The screen is huge and has fantastic picture quality. For most people you could probably go from a two monitor set-up down to just this one. It has plenty of RAM and a solid processor, so it works well with Microsoft Office products. That said, the lack of an NVIDIA graphics card and very limited VRAM means you cant do anything beyond casual gaming, so if thats a priority youll want to look elsewhere. This is a great option for someone looking for a better than baseline, but not top of the mark, home computer for streaming and productivity.

After first 5 months of use the display wouldn’t boot up. Had to return to Acer, pay for shipping.

Ive been a fan of small form factor desktops / all-in-one designs for some time for PCs that will mostly be used for office/home purposes - if youre not playing the latest in games, the smaller footprint and better overall power usage of these types of PCs is a huge step up from trying to get a budget desktop tower.

The computer itself is very nice looking and easy to set up. My biggest complaint is the sound quality. My older Acer had a much better sound quality. I practically have to turn the volume fully up to hear anything. I have added external speakers (which I did with my old computer as well) but I can still hear a noticeable difference between my old computers sound quality and the new one. Updating tried new blue tooth speaker. The speaker works great with my phone and old computer. It goes in and out with the new computer. Really wish I had not bought this computer.
