Not good for coding. The trackpad is pretty terrible and the key layout of the control/alt/shift keys makes it really hard to cut/paste. The keyboard also has a cheap feel.

Nice notebook. I have to get used to it though. Its not a tablet nor a computer. The navigation is a bit different. I probably should have stuck with a computer, but I could change my mind as I use it more. I have to adjust.

I purchased two of these Chromebooks for my children. They were required by their school district. After one year both Chromebooks had the same issue, a key and some others keys in the immediate vicinity are intermittent or nonfunctional. I had repaired since I had a warranty. It worked okay for awhile and same problem came back. Strange that both Chromebooks would experience the same issue. Does not seem like a big issue but if a couple keys dont work it is NOT GOOD FOR CHILDS SCHOOL WORK!

If you like Chromebook and all that goes with it youll like this Acer I think. It does everything youll need to surf the net & using the limited but expanding app/functionality Google supplies.

Ive been using the Chromebook for 2 months now, and its been great. As others have said, if youre looking for a Macbook there are some design differences, but in terms of utility and ease of use this is a great buy at under $300. Ive previously used a Macbook Air and as I run a startup and have to do a host of tasks (design, writing/editing/content creation, web dev & site updates, marketing/brand, social media, etc) this has been an invaluable purchase.

Love my Chromebook 14. It fires up super quick and does everything I need it to do. The biggest problems are those inherent with buying a Chromebook. You will be limited in office settings which use Microsoft products, but if most of what you do/need is browser based, this is for you.
