I got this about a week and a half ago, it worked amazing, even better than I expected, but after a few days, it started performing worse, it was doing whatever I wanted it to, like recording games at full HD quality, and it has just gone down hill since, I dont know why, its not overheating, I even got it a cooling pad, it first benchmarked 69th percentile three days ago, and today it benched 44th percentile, Im really confused and wouldnt really recommend this to anyone, and if it keeps dropping in performance I want my money back and ill buy a desktop.

Worked great for a few months then got a No Bootable Device Found. When I went into the bios there isnt even a partition order. Will try calling Acer support but buyer beware: make sure you buy a warranty through Amazon to cover your butt

So i purchased the 17 inch during the 2019 holidays, its really the same laptop as this 15 inch version so i have some long term experience with Nitro 5 gaming laptops. I also have a beast of a laptop(has a 2080) but for something portable, this is really an overall winner, with a good screen, decent FPS, nice keyboard and upgradable at a later point(you should, its cheap).

I didn’t even get to use it. Whoever was in charge of quality check seemed to have skipped this unit entirely. Neither intel or geforce had their drivers installed. Nitrosense was missing as well, and I spent a while trying to get them all installed. I bought myself an acer a few years back, it’s not my job to have to do this all myself.

After a couple of months of usage, I noticed some noise issue with the fan. Now its been 2 years the fan is crackling like there is no tomorrow, this product is officially worthless as I can use it in a productive environment. I dont mind the expense as its only $700, but good lord focus on quality.
