Bought this for my gamer son and he loved it. Said it worked great but unfortunately burned out after 1.5 year. Warranty expired after 1 year. Sad didn’t last longer.

Great gaming computer no upgrades need, but you can add an SSD and a HDD. Also upgrade the 16gb ram (2x 8gb sticks) to a max of 32 gb ram (2x16gb sticks). I opened the back up which was extremely hard to do and a few tabs broke, but the screws hold the unit together well enough. The two stock sticks of ram in my laptop were different brands one was Samsung and the other was unidentifiable. This laptop plays games extremely well for a mid range laptop. However it does heat up alot, once the fan kicks in it cools decently. The Fan can be loud, and it seems the Cpu fan doesnt get upto 6000rpms like the Gpu fan does. One of the fans is metal the other is plastic. I recommend getting a cooling pad of some sort to help with intense games. Overall highly recommend this laptop, boots and loads fast.

So far its been great. Packaging and presentation were on point and the keys and mouse are so smooth!

Is it just my unit or does the keyboard on this laptop really suck?

As my last laptop finally gave in, I was in need of a laptop first and foremost for school. However, I also wanted to be able to play games without breaking the bank. Being that I need this laptop for school first and foremost, I was worried about the bulkiness most gaming laptops seem to have. I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened this laptop at how lightweight and compact this machine is. The last laptop I owned was bulky and had numerous mechanical issues due to the build quality. None of those issues seem apparent with the build quality and design of this machine. Looking forward to using this computer daily.

I do see a couple of reviews of people saying this is great for their Oculus Quest Link, which I do not doubt. Especially after testing the Helios 300 with the Valve Index. Keep in mind that you will need a mini-DP to DP adapter for the Valve index.

Ray tracing is awesome on this laptop! And I was blown away on graphics fidelity! Gaming on battery is possible but not recommended due to shorter battery life! I get close to 6 hours of battery life for productivity! Great laptop!

If you want a mid range gaming laptop it does it job. If you want a mobile work station well go somewhere else because the battery drains after after a couple of hours. I am using this laptop at college online. I would be great if the hard-drive was bigger since games it up in a hurry but what do expect for the price since I only. I has an extra SSD slot so I am probably get SSD around the next black friday.
