I love them.i use them to put my embroidery floss in keeps them organized and from getting Tangled. I dont like the card organizers they come on they get Tangled up and when get low the thread falls out of hole. And sometimes the card holes rip.

The advantage of using a small zip-lock is that you can store all of: thread on a cardboard spool, thread in a skein and loose thread that you have cut but not yet used. This is especially useful for cases where the colours are very similar. I have not tried putting then on a ring, so I cant say how sturdy the set up would be. But even without that, using bags is my preferred technique (toss the colours of your current project in a small box or basket.) I have used the larger type you can buy at the grocery store but even the smallest I could find was larger than these. Tip: you dont need to write on the bag. You can cut a small piece of white cardboard, write the thread number on both sides, and put that in the bag too.

These bags are a wonderful addition to any embroidery kit. They’re small enough to hold a few loose threads and large enough to hold three or four skeins of floss. Pros: Easy to use, convenient place to store thread. Capable of holding more than one skein or bobbin at a time. Holes at the bottom for holding bags together, using the enclosed ring. Cons: The bags can be a little slippery, and the “easy write” surface for numbers often smears over time or in humid environments. The holes in the bottom sometimes allow things to slip through.

Perfect for my needs. I do a lot of cross stitch and they are perfect for storing floss, I even use a bag each for my mixed floss.

Liked the idea of it fitting in a little tote separated by color

Im actually not using these for floss - Im using them to store swatch sample of my favorite knitting/crocheting yarns. The prepunched hole allows me to put them on a ring so they wont get lost. They also have a small white area where you can write information about the contents. I can see a use for them to store scrapbook decorations, sewing notions, or beads.

I love these bags. It holds the floss for not only my current project but my entire stash of floss. It makes it easier to pull them for a new project and put them away when its finished.

The do exactly what they are intended to do! Also the hole for the floss ring is not located on the bag portion itself...so on the off chance it rips you are not loosing your floss like with some store brand floss bags. A 3x5 card will not fit exactly in the bag you have to trim it down just a bit. I cheat and buy pack of index cards just for these and immediately trim them and keep them together with my extra bags so that I can grab and go!! Woth the card inside the bags have more stability and fit perfect in a shoe box size container!!
