> 3 dayYes, these are essentially snack size zip top bags with holes punched in them and a little space for writing on them. however, they are so convenient. I use them for organizing my flosses for cross stitch. You can pop a whole skein of floss in the bag without winding it, and take out as little or as much as you need. Write the color code on teh bag and put them on a binder ring and voila - a veery flexible organization solution. I keep my needles and scissors in a bag on the end of the ring. I have a binder folder with all my flosses, and a couple small rings for individual projects. compared to the plastic boxes and bobbins my mom uses, I find this to be faster, easier, more versatile, take up less room, and keep the floss cleaner.

> 3 dayUse these with rings for my embroidery floss. Great for that function. Could you use other little bags and put a hole in them for the ring yourself? Probably. Could you just write on any bag without the nice writing surface on these? Probably. But these are priced to make it worth having them cut the hole and apply a nice writing surface. Have already purchased these again.

> 3 dayThese little bags come in very handy to hold the color floss you are using at a time plus you can hold the little bobbin holders with your already treaded and prepare needles. Helps me keep clean and organized with my projects. In addition you can write the number of colored thread on each bag for reference.

> 3 dayI recently took up cross-stitching as something to do on breaks at work. Its quick and I get a nice creative outlet! After one or two projects, though, my colorful pile of threads was getting out of hand. My quick projects were taking forever just to find the right colors! Enter the Floss-a-way bags. They are exactly what I needed! Convenient and sturdy, I could see these being useful for lots of art or other projects, such as storing beads, rubber bands, scrapbooking materials, etc. The plastic is actually strong enough to be used for things like LEDs, eyeglass screws or other nuts and bolts. Theyre great!

> 3 dayNot my first time purchasing (my 3rd or 4th?) and they never disappoint! So handy to store DMC Floss and other stitching needs. Easy to see what you have and no need to transfer to spindles (which can fall all over!). I keep all floss I’m currently using, on their own rings, and the remainder on a global ring. There is a place on the bag to write the code and when on a ring, it’s very easy to find the floss you need. On individual projects, I can organize the bags by number or color order as listed in the instructions. Then put them on their own ring. I often have beads and other embellishments and keep them in their own bags (store beads in their original packaging, then in the bag!!) If you have a kit that comes with it’s own (un-numbered) floss and want to keep the extra, it’s very easy to find a DMC match by comparing through the bags. No match? Put it in its own bag and put it in the similar color section. (You can store the floss from kits by the same-manufacturer, on their own ring, if you wish. You never know when you might need more!). Another thing I recommend purchasing are the individual, hard plastic floss holders shaped like an animal. They hold about 20? colors of floss. So if you have a kit, organize each color of floss into a bag and put them in order on a ring. (If it comes all in a single length, cut off about 18 inches of floss and put the rest in its bag.) Then take what you have cut and slip-knot it on the animal organizer. So easy to organize and easy to carry around. Great product!
