07-06-2025This is my 2nd pair of Aftershox. The first were good, these were great! I pound these things. Trail running, kayaking, biking, hiking and then I’m on the phone nonstop during work days. These things stood up to rain, sweat, bugs, more sweat, spiderwebs, being dropped, more sweat, and they sound pretty amazing. I like that I can hear ambient sounds when I’m outdoors for safety and enjoyment. Not only that, but they are comfortable. I often forget I’m wearing them. From September 20 to August 21 I probably got 3000 hours of use ( call it 5 of 11 months). But in the last few days they have gone crazy. They turn on and off by themselves, connect and disconnect, go into pairing mode, then they’re fine for a few hours, then at it again. I love these things, but I wish they lasted at least through a year.

Greater than one weekSo I was intrigued by the notion of headphones that rendered sound while allowing for hearing surroundings. Initial impressions were good--The headset was comfortable and light, and phone calls crystal clear. Then I listened to music, and thats where the performance of these headphones falls flat--pun intended. Pick your genre--rock, hip hop, R&B, pop--the music is flat and theres just no bass response to speak up. Turning up the volume results in mild vibration and exploring the iPhone EQ settings helped little. Conclusion? If youre intent is to listen to podcasts or audio books while walking or biking, then this headset will suit you just fine. If youre seeking even a modicum of bass performance, but still want wireless freedom and sweat protection, I encourage looking at the Bose Soundsport or SONY WF-SP800N ear buds.

> 3 dayI was skeptical about these, but two trusted friends (who don’t know each other) both recommended them so I gave it a try. Working from home has been tricky, I needed something that still lets me hear my background, won’t give me a weird hair crease like regular headphones do, and a battery that lasts through the workday. These totally did the trick! They go behind my head along the neckline, under my hair, and because they send sound thru the bone, it’s not plugging my ears at all so I can hear what’s going on around me. And the battery life on these lasts about 7-8 hours straight! They can sync to my computer or my phone, anything with Bluetooth. If you’re thinking of trying these, you won’t be disappointed. Literally the only thing I can complain about is that you cannot use them while it’s charging. But they charge fast, so not really an issue.

> 3 dayThese would be a solid 5 stars EXCEPT for the fact that when two devices are connected, should you step away from one, the engineers decided they needed to make the most annoying thing ever - lets beep at the listener incessantly. I connect mine to my iPhone and my computer at my office - and then my computer at home when Im there. I regularly step away from my work computer and the beeping starts. When Im home and go for a bike ride or run, the beeping starts. THE ONLY way to stop it, is to turn off - then wait ... then turn back on, and start music / audio again. If the mfr is reading - PLEASE make it stop! These are wonderful for phone calls. But if I walk away from computer, the beeping happens through the rest of the call. I have no idea why they thought this was a good idea, definitely not a feature, but a very annoying bother that needs to go away. Otherwise, they are great and I wear them almost all day for phone calls, music and audio and can hear everyone that I need to. Great for my bike rides and walking. I just hope they can update it to stop the beeps.

> 3 dayIn short, they dont budge, let you stay aware of surroundings and battery life is excellent! If youre looking for high end sound quality go buy some bose or something. These serve their purpose for what they are made for. These are great for working in a place where forklifts are are constantly zooming about. And bridge saws are being turn on and off. I use them from 8-4 and even during lunch, to my surprise without having to recharge them. They are very lightweight. Certain times of day I wear a hat, mask, and glasses along with the headphones and the combination will make the bone behind my ear ache. They stay put really well and the only time I have to adjust them is when Im painting frames and having to inspect over, under, around and all sorts of different angles for long periods of time. Base is a little non existent but thats alright, Im no audiophile. Sound quality is not fuzzy but sound isnt delivered the same way traditional earphones do so dont expect the highest quality music from these. Sound is improved when using earbuds and I regularly swap between no buds and earbuds depending on tasks.

> 3 dayYou still have to be careful not to have the volume to high to avoid hearing damage, but these are the best out there. Sturdy and forgiving. It charges quickly and the battery life is 8 hours of solid play! My AfterShokz were worth every penny and I’ve purchased 2 more as gifts for family members.
