This is exactly what I needed. I am an electrician and I was looking for an easy plug tester that showed not only if the wiring was correct, but what the actual voltage is at the outlet. It is great and does exactly what it says. Definitely recommend this for the professional as well as anyone looking too check the outlets in their own home.

I plugged it in, showed no ground, Im thinking WTF I know this is a good plug. I pull it out and the ground prong is still in the receptacle. Literally broke on its first use.

This outlet tester is super simple, has a great digital display that is easy to read and its pretty compact for what it can do! Just plug it in and it will tell you if its correct or not, and the amount of voltage that is coming your way. Doesnt get any easier than that!

First time using it the bottom plug pulled out. I would’ve put a lot of use to this being a maintenance supervisor and having to work on 70 houses. I will not buy this item or brand again, I’ll be sticking with Klein Tools for my maintenance department.

Always had a problem with electronics sparking when plugged in, turns out 3 outlets were wired wrong. This thing told me what was wrong and I re-wired them myself. No more problems.

My Dads older home still has some 2-prong (non-grounded) receptacles. I wanted to test them because grandfathered into old building codes or not, I dont think theyre safe. So when I saw the Aicevoos D2S Receptacle Tester I jumped on it. Of course, I failed to read the entire product title or I wouldve seen that its for 3-wire 120V outlets. DUH! So that was my bad... The good news is I can still test all the 3-wire outlets in his home and every outlet in my home too. I like the simplicity of it. Plug it in, let it do its thing, and then get a result on an LCD screen. Much easier than having to look through a reference chart to see what it means when certain LEDs are lit up in a certain order. Personally, I think everyone should go through their home or apartment and test all the outlets for safety and peace of mind. You probably werent there looking over the electricians shoulder during construction. But at least you can get your kids (if old enough) to go around and plug this device into every outlet you have. And if any of them display anything other than CORRECT, youll certainly find out about it in record time! (ha-ha)

this makes checking your outlet a breeze. The LCD screen is easy to read. This is a great tool to keep in the toolbar to check if there are any issues with outlets and GFCI. great product.

Used this recently while I was setting up some new outlets and have used it helping some friends with electrical work. It is a great way to double-check if you are doing everything correctly. Super easy to use and understand so even someone doing a DIY outlet repair or just checking through your house outlets for any faults. I wish the screen was at a bit of an angle because especially on outlets lower to the ground the viewing angles of the lcd are not great, just angeling the screen up a bit might have helped. Overall a pretty good device that I am happy with.

I like this outlet tester because its very easy to read, and does give you some more information beyond the 3 lights the older style testers have. Great to keep on hand in the tool kit to test outlets.
