Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

For my new Passport 4T drive and power USB cable perfectly.

Although the case appears durable, and quite functionable, the dye used on it will bleed onto what ever is placed inside. Hence, dont use it to carry anything that isnt black. Otherwise, it will have black lines from the netting inside, which is a permanent dye that will not come off or out.

I needed a case to carry my external hard drive at all times, and this seems to keep it protected. As someone who travels for work, this case is perfect for taking along my hard drive.

Portable hard drives arent exactly delicate, but are also not indestructible. This case provides protection to help prevent scratches and some protection against drops. It also has a pocket inside that will keep track of the specific cable that works with your drive, which just adds to the value.

Cant tell you how sturdy or durable this one is until I drop it off a cliff or into the swimming pool, but so far, under normal conditions, it works fine. Im using it with a Mac laptop. Read/write rates are pretty good.

The case itself is fine, it is of solid construction and will protect your device if you drop it, however this case is meant for My Passport products. If you already have a hard drive measure twice, it needs to be more than a little smaller than the case, the inside has a webbing side and a side with an elastic band for cables, its a good case but make sure our hard drive will fit in it.

Great case ;) but on things ... they shipped it in the biggest box ever . I think that is a waist

I know this is meant to carry around a portable hard drive but I purchased It for the versatility of putting my Nikon D3s batteries in so they weren’t sliding all around my camera bag. Fits 2 batteries perfectly with a little bit of room to spare. Zipper works good nice interior in the case. Definitely will buy from again.
