Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

I was very impressed with the quality of this product. It fits my WD My Passport Ultra 1TB Portable External USB 3.0 Hard Drive with Auto Backup perfectly. The HD fits in the elastic band space with room to spare, the net side holds the USB cord and the manual & warranty information - which I put on top so that the cable does not tear the net or mar the drive on the other side. The zipper has an easy to grab rubbery zipper pull.

It doesnt have a very tough job to do and it does it pretty well. The mesh inside to hold a cable seems delicate but not a huge deal considering its $6.

I chose this item because other reviewers have mentioned that it fits the WD 2T HD My Passport for Mac. And it does. In spite of being light weight, it is also pretty sturdy and strong. Great value for the money! No regrets getting this item. Unfortunately, amazon does not ship this to Singapore. So I had to incur additional cost sending the item to my niece in SF, who then re-posted it in the mail to me in Singapore. One point down for amazon!

Nice design, easy to travel with, the small bag is perfect for travel, pack away fast, and just plug and play. I should have bought bigger storage with this one, but design and use is perfect!

i bought this to store/travel with my 1 TB toshiba canvio external hard drive. very high quality, very protective, has netting to hold the USB cord and a snug strap to hold the actual hard drive (the size of a thick desk of playing cards). the shell is a very hard plastic with a soft covering. highly recommended!

As a video editor and cinematography, I fill a ton of hard drives that I often find myself needing to lug around and send out to clients. I looked at several different products that essentially work to add a little more protection to external hard drives, and after several tries, I finally kept this one. I had little luck with the silicon “skins” for the drives, due mostly to inconsistencies in where the holes were punched out for cords and the big variety of sizes that hard drives now come in. I then purchased a product similar to this but with a smoother texture on eBay for $2 less than this Amazon basics case. The eBay cases began to fall apart and were just generally of a worse quality, But these Amazon basics cases have been excellent, from the material to the quality of the zipper! The texture feels more sturdy, but not bulky. The two different types of netting/compartments in the case make it super convenient to hold both a drive and the cord, while at the same time make the case able to hold a huge variety of hard drives shapes/thicknesses, as they stay in place and secure. I’ve used these now with WD passports, Seagate backup Plus drives, an SSD and a few other branded external hard drives. These aren’t made to be shockproof, underwater, pelican-case protection mechanisms, but for those days when I need to take my hard drives with me, or in storage with archived drives on a shelf, these work to supply an extra layer between your drive and the things it touches, it feels sturdy but lightweight, and it keeps dust, crumbs, and sharp objects from your frive’s fragile cable ports.

Most camera cases I looked at are soft, snug or both. This case provides impact resistance for the DMC-ZS7 body and scratch protection for the LCD screen. The camera slips into a wide elastic band. I do not expect the camera will fall out when the case is opened. Alternatively, the camera can be slipped into the mesh pocket. However, removal requires finesse.
