Amazon Basics Outdoor Smart Plug with 2 Individually Controlled Outlets, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Works with Alexa Only

I have a bunch of indoor plugs from different brands that work with Alexa but I was missing one for outside so I was really excited to try this Amazon Basic Outdoor Smart Plug. I use it to control my lights and inflatables outside during different times of the year (Halloween, Christmas, etc). Initial setup was easy, following the enclosed instructions and using the Alexa app on my iPhone. It did take longer than normal for the App to recognize it compared to my previous experiences with other Smart Plugs, but after a while it connected successfully. My biggest issues were after the initial setup. The Plug has 2 outlets and for some reason the Alexa app stopped being able to control 1 of them, telling me it was unresponsive! Since 99% of the times I use the Alexa app to control the plug it became very annoying. I searched for a solution online and ended up having to remove it from the App, resetting the plug itself to its initial state and than added it to the Alexa app again. It seems to have solve to issue for now but it was still more troublesome than any other Smart Plug I had tried before. Ive been using it for a few months now; during the Summer with lots of Sun and heat and more recently with colder temperatures and rain and it has been working fine.

I used to use a standard Amazon smart plug to control my Christmas lights with Amazon routines. But periodically it would cut out and Id have to reset it, likely because it was in a cold garage. This outside rated one hasnt had an issue all season even with it getting below 0 (Fahrenheit), so happy with my purchase

I love that I can ask Alexis to turn on my lights as I go down my driveway. My first attempt at smart items. Didnt need anything else.

Super easy to setup and use. I currently use it to turn on and off my outdoor water fountain. Nice that it is has a 2nd separate plug should I want to control something else outside using Alexa. Highly recommended.

Anytime I buy a product that I can use through my phone and with Alexa the number one priority is ease of set up. This plug is it. I have purchased products before and then have found I need to install a seperate app and then download information and even as far as to subscribe. Not this. Plug it in, hold your phone near it and it will connect. Seems to be made with quality as I have it outdoors and no problems. The connection stays on the phone and is a snap to use. Price is also good for a dual plug device. All in all very happy.

Thus far, this item works great. Easy to set up with Alexa and the routine assigned to it has worked flawlessly.

The exterior outlet works with Alexa, and is easy to program. There are two plus-ins at the end of the cord, and they can be programmed separately. We used it for exterior Christmas lighting, and it met or exceeded our expectations.

Purchased this back in December for my Christmas lights. Worked perfect with Alexa. No more going outside to turn them on and off.

It has 2 standard plug ports that can be set up for different devices. I set mine up for exterior Christmas decorations. We can choose either plug socket 1 or 2 just by asking Alexa which plug we want to activate. No need to go outside in the cold to turn on or off the Holiday decorations. Fantastic!!

All Amazon Basic products, I have purchased work well and are easy to install. This is a nice product that is used to control an outdoor fountain.
