Amazon Basics Outdoor Smart Plug with 2 Individually Controlled Outlets, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Works with Alexa Only

Bought this for my outside pool a d works like a charm. Plugged in, set timer on alexa app and it does its thing. Only thing is figuring out the app on how to set up off timer.

I had zero problems adding this device to Alexa. Just plugged it in and a few seconds Alexa announced that it had been added. Each plug can be turned on and off from the app or via voice command or directly with the push buttons on the plug itself. When turning off or on remotely, there is a click sound at the plug itself and a small green light that indicates when the plug is on. Heavy duty cord is short, around 6 inches, and grounded plugs have sealing rubber covers. There is a hanging tab so that the unit could be hung very near the outlet where its installed. My plan is to use this with Outdoor Christmas lights that are within WiFi range. I look forward to eliminating those winter ventures out into the cold to turn on and off the lights. Of course, its entirely possible that I find a use for this before the holiday season and its Christmas designation is never realized. (Or even more likely, that at post Thanksgiving decoration time, I wont be able to remember where I put this... I know. Ill store it now in the decoration box.)

See Above. But non of the other brands I tried recognized the product. Amazons was right away. So Frustrating, being a technical dummy, following instructions, yet not being able to set up a smart plug. Amazon was the way to go. What I like about Amazon, is that they seem to test their products before recommending same. Go Amazon!

They really need to remind everyone they must have cell phone on 2.4 GHz wifi before attempting to connect device

Used this for outside Christmas lights, and backyard string lights… so much easier then plugging and unplugging cords each night. Highly recommend..

Worked as expected

Used this to turn on outdoor lights and it worked great. Very easy to set up and integrated easily with Alexa. I love that you can independently control each of the two plugs.

Extremely easy to install, quick, works perfectly with Alexa. We use this for outdoor light so we didnt have to go out and turn them on or use a timer we could turn them on from home, or turn them on from afar.

This smart plug works great with Alexa. It was very easy to configure in the Alexa app and I like that it has two plugs that have two separate identities. It is also waterproof and should work great in the backyard.
