Amazon Smart Plug, for home automation, Works with Alexa - A Certified for Humans Device

This was extremely easy to set up. I plugged it into a power strip and Alexa picked up signal immediately. I plugged in my lamp and asked Alexa to turn on 1st plug and lamp came right on. I purchased a few Gosund plugs and they never were picked up by Alexa, even though it says they are compatible. Very pleased with the ease of setting up and usage of this plug, and I am NOT very tech savvy so I am very happy it paired with Alexa and worked the first time I tried, Ive unplugged and moved this around a few times and it has always automatically reconnected to WiFi as soon as it was plugged in again. The power strip its plugged into has a surge protector, unfortunately, the smart plug itself does not. I have renamed plug 1 to Living Room Lamp, you can rename additional plugs in the app or directly through your Alexa/Echo device. I can turn lamp on and off from Alexa app when I am not home. I would definitely purchase another one when they have another promotion for $5, not sure they are worth $25 Only thing I would change is the size, its fairly large for just one plug. If you plug it into a wall socket, you can use the other outlet easily with a 2 prong plug, but its a little tight with a 3 prong. If you have several appliances/lights etc., in the same room, I think I would go with the smart plug power strip itself, it has 3 outlets on the strip that can be controlled independently and its only about $2 more.

I use this to turn on and off the daylight lamp on my daughters snake tank. I had it linked to my Amazon account and Alexa when I added it to my cart and purchased it. When I plugged it in, my Echo Show 5 immediately recognized it and added it. It also automatically showed up in the Alexa app on my iphone 13. I literally had no setup steps to perform except renaming it to Snake Light. I can control it from the app, Echo Show and the firestick remote. I simply have to say Alexa turn on the Snake Light :)

I love this smart plug and I can’t wait for it to go back on sale so I can buy more! I love being able to turn on and off any lamp from anywhere in the house.

Through no fault of the product, I use it less than expected. I have it set on a light which I use every few days, thats it, nothing special. At the sale price its worth the convivence of not needing to move to and manually turn on the light.

Just finished a complete master bathroom rebuild and added my fun little lamp, Fergie to it. I wake up in the middle of the night and say Alexa Fergie On and I have complete light to the bathroom. Back to bed and say Alexa Fergie Off and its back to sleep for me! This smart plug synced automatically with my Echo Dot as soon as I plugged it in. So easy! Location is several walls away from my router and I have had no trouble with it staying connected to my Wifi. I am totally sold on the Amazon Smart Plug!

This product does exactly what it claims to do. The set up was easy and quick.

We already have one of these plugs that we use for our outdoor Christmas lights. It is so easy to use and very convenient. You can use with your phone or Alexa and you can set a time to turn on and off through Alexa. We bought another one to use with our Christmas tree lights. I highly recommend this item.

Had my bedroom lights plugged into this plug. My lights would go on and off in the middle of the night. It stopped when I unplugged it.

This is super handy especially when you think you might’ve left your hair iron on. You can always connect to Alexa and have her turn off the switch.
