Starting with the packaging I felt the packaging was very well branded as well as user friendly to open and unbox. The presentation in the box for both the switch and the camera left nothing to be desired and was straightforward about knowing I have what I need to get started. First I unpacked the POE Switch. It felt very well built and was tastefully labeled. One of the first things I checked was to see if there was any way to mount the switch onto a wall. I did find the screws in the box however it took me a minute to grasp how it was meant to be mounted. The fact I must punch my own holes out of the switch is not something I feel very comfortable doing. As seen in the picture They dont pop out easily with your finger and I would be afraid of applying too much pressure and stabbing into the box and hitting some of the components. If in the future some rubber grommets or something similar that could be popped out were applied, it would make mounting it way more user friendly. It was very easy and quick to both hook up to my router and hook up to the camera. I enjoy the longer cord on the power supply to be able to position it where I want it and not worry about being horribly close to an outlet. I also like the indicators to show the status of each port. It connected almost instantaneously.

I purchased the PoE switch as I am adding new devices (IP Cameras) that require PoE. I was previously using a single PoE injector and was looking for a product that will grow with my future needs. I had initially looked at simple 8-port PoE injectors, but I was running out of space on my main switch. This Gigabit PoE switch is able to free ports from my main switch, provide 96W of PoE, and will be able to meet my future needs. The installation was super easy--just had to connect to the power and connected the first port of the PoE switch to my main switch. After powering it on, it immediately connected and I was able to plug in additional devices. This also gave me an opportunity to clean up and do some cable management. It does come with screws if you want to mount it. I like that the device automatically detects and shows whether its providing PoE or just an uplink. Since adding two 4K Amcrest IP Cameras, I have not noticed any latency issues while streaming video to my tablet. Im very satisfied with the product, although I wouldnt mind if Amcrest introduced a rack mount in the box or as an accessory. Of course, I could get an additional shelf, but it would certainly make it more visually appealing. Im now able to easily connect more devices and be up and running with my access point and IP Cameras.

If you’re looking for a high speed switch that won’t drop the high speeds your paying for (400mbps+) then this is great! Other switches have a nice price point at $15 or so, but will likely be inconsistent with speed. At least that was my experience.

Not much to say, it is a simple dumb switch. It is a basic switch that provides PoE. I did not notice any dropped packets while using it. As far as I could find, it has no management features, which means no VLANing.

It did not slow down my internet upload/download speeds. Great value for the money supplies power to all my cameras with one cable.

Amazing for my 7 Amcrest cameras running on Blue Iris. Solid, hefty build quality, love it. Only wish there were holes for wall mounting.

I bought to use with 2 POE cameras and this worked out of the box, just plugged the cables and the cameras was turned on. I will buy more cameras and see how it goes. I like the indicator led that shows what port is using POE and what port is using just LAN. If you are looking for a not so expensive POE switch, this is a great choice.

Worked great out of the box. Power supply is good size for the power required. Many of these devices use small power supplies that fail over time. No power fluctuations, just works.

Just connect power and immediately connected. Couldnt be easier. Plug and play. I love the slim design as well, great for small spaces like mine. The labeling is great also. I would highly recommend. Robust switch.
