23-11-2024I switched to this from a Ryzen 2400G, (original Zen architecture) and I have to say Ryzen has come a long way since the first line of processors! The biggest difference for me was the latency in real-time audio applications. The last CPU, although great all around for light content creation and day-to-day use, was unusable for real-time audio processing. Latencies within acceptable parameters resulted in poor audio quality and the dreaded popping noises that come with it. But I can get away with sub-3ms latency settings, conservatively, at a 48k sample rate, and I havent even tried pushing beyond that. Using Bias FX, I was peaking at 6-8% CPU usage. Thats a lot of juice left for real-time processing! I also game a little, and Im perfectly happy with the performance for that purpose. My system is heavily GPU bound with this CPU, so I cant speak tonits limits as far as that goes, but I cant see a gamer being disappointed by this part. All in all, its a snappy processor with waaaay better IPC performance than previous gen Ryzen parts, for less than $200. Whats not to like?

> 3 daySo I bought this CPU in July for £159 brand new, after Ive seen the price increase I am glad I bought it before all my other parts. I also have to say that this is a very good CPU as it does everything you really need, I have it running with a Nvidia RTX 3070 Founders Edition that I got for MSRP £469.

> 3 dayI didnt purchase this from Amazon since it was out of stock at the time but wanted to share my experience upgrading my HTPC from a Ryzen 1700 to the 3600. The chip works perfectly in my ASRock B450 Steel Legend motherboard. I used my Ryzen 1700 to update to the latest BIOS and the 3600 was recognized on first boot. My 3200MHz DDR4 CL14 memory works flawlessly with this chip as well. Performance compared to my 1700 is better across the board.

> 3 dayNeeds a better cooler ASAP!!! In my NZXT H510 the cpu can reach well into the high 80s C with no over clock using the stock cooler under full load. Other than that this cpu knocks the work outta the park!!!
