I did some research and settled on this unit for a kinda new build (couple of old donar parts). I have it paired with a Asus tuf gaming b550 plus motherboard. I am extremely happy with the performance of the unit.

this is one of the best purchases I ever purchased from Amazon. I really hate Intel as a company and Im so happy AMD got up on the ball with this cpu! this CPU is so fast and overpowered I really feel like they could have charged more money for it. multitasking is now so easy this is a hell of an upgrade from my last PC. this CPU can pretty much play any game I throw at it this is everything a modern CPU should be on any PC. Intel processors rest in peace hand the crown over to AMD!

Ive purchased this CPU twice. 1st in mid 2019 to replace my 1800X and i liked it so much i bought another for my partner Christmas of 2020 for $180 - $200 respectively. I would easily recommend this chip at those prices, however in the current market listing of $300 i would hard pass. Spend $40 more for a 5700G or 5600G. Way more performance per dollar. If youre hard set on getting one just know youre overspending by 50%.

Amazing performance for price. Can play any current game. For 8 core 3700X is better. Runs cool, stock cooler is good enough. Paired with MSI B450M board. B550 is also very good choice now.

For $175 this cpu is a no brainer, I love it

Im usually an Intel guy until I researched the value of AMD. This is my first build using a AMD CPU in my desktop.

went from an AMD phenom II black edition to this and wow!! what a difference, i had been rocking my phenom for years and it was just time to upgrade so i decided on this CPU, i use it mostly for gaming and i am now able to play some games that i could not before (im sure my GPU had something to do with that too).
