I’m not sure if they tried to pull one over on me or if they just forgot but I only received the cooler and no processor! Make sure to check the box for the processor when you get it and not before you go to build your pc. I have issued a refund.

Upgraded from an i5 6600k, was trying to wait for ryzen 4 as i think its clear now that they will surpass intel in the pure performance category, something interesting has been clinging to desperately now, but the higher prices reflect this. Ryzen 4 will change everything as cheaper will mean more performance, however a few recent game pickups have left my hands tied in regards to upgrading my cpu, and while i was going to go with an i9 9900kf, i just couldnt pass up saving a couple hundred dollars for not that significant a performance hit.

The first one I ordered was a DOA, but they sent me a replacement free of the charge that arrived the very next day, and that one worked perfectly. At first I was worried about the stock cooler, cause the last time I upgraded my CPU was back in 13 and back then stock coolers that could be used for gaming were just not a thing, but after installing the Wraith Prism cooler, I was amazed to see that it only had a 10C higher resting temp than my old H80i liquid cooler. Heck, it doesnt even make any noise, its crazy; I thought the fan wasnt working and had to check to make sure cause it was so quiet. Plus it even has easily customizable RGB LEDs, and the software is actually decent. Really, Im amazed by this stock cooler... but the CPU itself is great too!

This product has exceeded my expectations. Ive been debating between the Ryzen 5 (budget) or the Ryzen 7. Decided to go with this one and its been blazing fast! On top of that, theres a promotion for Assassins Creed Vahalla which I cant wait to play. The prism led cooler makes it visually appealing on my tempered glass case. Cant go wrong with AMD.

This thing is a BEAST! I used this in my build and with it properly overclocked it rivals the Intel i9, the extra cores makes everything run so much smoother! If you have the money... GET IT!

For the extra money its not really worth getting this over the 3700x, multiple sites said I could use this with my old b350 mobo but even after bios updates it wouldnt boot. I bought a 550f mobo and it pairs great with my 5700xt. Too much money. Go with the 3700x not worth the extra money for 200mhz difference

The 3800X is a great CPU, it was easy to install, and it compiled the swift programming language from the AUR in 45 minutes with no OC. Also, it survives the Earth with sphere of moons simulation in Universe Sandbox 2 with less than a second of lag only when all the moons collide. I was able to overclock to 4.2 GHz with the stock Wraith Prism.
