AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 16-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

I see most people write reviews here for how CPUs perform for gaming but not much for other applications. I upgraded from a very outdated FX-8350. So basically any Ryzen would be an improvement from that. using a MSI b450 motherboard with 64gb corsair 3200 ram and it booted right out of the box.

My old cpu was a fx 8350x . This is a significant upgrade

Ryzen cpu is great. Easy setup and fast. Stays cool with 240mm liquid aio.

Was really easy to install, glad it was cuz i was freaking out lol.

Fast processor but the main issue is the high temperature cores so you will need a water cooling kit and I recommend Corsair

Just wish I had gone with the Ryzen 9 for those additional beautiful cores. This platform rocks! This is an absolutely massive upgrade from my FX-8350 and its so stable. Ran furmark with no artifacts whatsoever.

Upgraded from an i7 5930k, so no real difference in terms of desktop performance or in gaming at 60Hz, but its impressive in workstation type loads.

Je viens dun i7 3820 de 2012 légèrement OC, toujours fonctionnel. Je ne fais pas dapplicatif, surtout du jeux. Alors, soyons clair : ça ne change rien (testé avec ma GTX 1070). Le proc est moins sollicité, mais il ny a aucun gain. La faute à la fréquence peut être. Bon le passage à la RTX 2080 SUPER, rien à voir par contre : ça se sent en 1440p.

Working great. Temp is fine, even in 4k. I use the Corsair water cooler, the largest one.
