AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

Very fast processor however the included heatsink is a little loud.

I’ve had the 3900x for around 3 months now, it would be appropriate to say that if you’re interested in live-streaming or multitasking while playing on your PC, this CPU is bang for buck, worth every penny.

I needed to buy a bigger power supply to get it to run at full speed, be aware of your TDP

Man, I wanted to ball on some pricey hardware for my rebuild and boy do I not regret this purchase. Its a very strong CPU. Considering my last build was an original AMD 8 Core Bulldozer CPU, its nice to step into a CPU launch thats actually extremely good in about every category. Go AMD!

Stupid fast bro!

Died after 6 hours of use. Bought a second chip (from a different retailer) that died after a few days of use. Back to using my 2700x after $1200 in silicon failed. Ive been an AMD fan for a long time and even stuck with them through their rough bulldozer days. But this rate of failure has shook my confidence in their product.

Produce is good, but over priced

While intel is still the king in terms of gaming (though by only a narrow margin), amd has closed that gap tremendously. Compared to the 9900k, this CPU is almost as good for gaming. Considering the huge difference of clock speed, this shows that AMD finally has a better ipc(instructions per clock). To notice any difference in gaming, you have to pair with a very high-end graphics card as it is very hard to bottleneck this cpu (think 2080ti). However you start to do some productivity things that take advantage of more cores, like rendering or encoding, and AMD absolutely wipes the floor!

Easy to install, there are lots of boards for it, at 600$ its a great buy !

Très performant! Jai donné 4 étoiles seulement parce que je voulais acheté le 3950x mais nétait toujours pas disponible pour achat. 3.8 ghz par coeurs (12 coeurs). Avec un water cooling jobtient 4.1 ghz overclocké. En jouant dans les voltages, je crois que je peux overclocké jusquà 4.6 ghz. Reste à voir.
