> 24 hourSo, first thing, I got lucky that I was home sick when this got delivered, because they do NOT do discreet packaging. Not even a little. Its the box the monitor came in with some Amazon tape and a shipping label on it. I snapped it up right when it arrived, but it could EASILY have been stolen, so theres that. On to the actual monitor: Super easy to set up. Im relatively experienced, but even if I werent, it wouldnt have mattered, because the most difficult part was getting through all the packaging to actually get to the pieces. Item arrived with no issues aside from very blatant packaging, and Ive noticed no issues with dead pixels or anything of the like since setting it up. I love the monitor size. It feels like I have a dual monitor setup without having a dual monitor setup. I dont explicitly notice the curve except that overall its very nice to look at. Now onto my one little gripe. Overall, the picture quality isnt very... clear? Images arent very smooth, which isnt a dealbreaker for me, but it is a little sad that I paid so much for a monitor that is actually worse, image-wise, than the monitor I was using before, which was a dell monitor I received for $5 and was about ten years old. Again, this isnt a dealbreaker for me personally, as Im the gaming type that DOESNT stress over every little point of optimization in a gaming setup and am mostly just happy with a setup that plays the games I want to play with a reasonable level of smoothness, but it is slightly disappointing and is the only thing lowering my score of this thing.

> 24 hourI currently have a 32 Samsung Curved FHD 240Hz panel for gaming. Wanted another one that is smaller and thought, what the heck, can always return to Amazon if this doesnt perform. Well, Im impressed 100%. The picture is actually better than my Samsung on COD Vanguard. FPS, smoothness and brightness are all fantastic. The panel is likely made by Samsung, not many make these actual panels in the World. Plus, the warranty is hard to pass up. It is just as good, if not better than my Samsung which was 2x the cost for 5 larger size. Buttery smooth action and does 240Hz. Just set the Hz and screen size in COD graphics settings, and my NVDIA 3080 just screams 200+fps. Really nice. Cant go wrong. If you arent used to a curve monitor, it takes awhile, since I already had one, no biggie. Plus, it doesnt seem 5 smaller in diagonal than my Samsung 32. Dont think you can go wrong with this thing honestly.

> 24 hourUpdate #2 : Just bought myself a second AOC monitor, this time the 34 ultra wide 2k 144mhz. A very good monitor for gaming! So far Im liking this monitor a good deal. Its what Id expect. There is definitely better but absolutely nothing wrong with this one for the price point. You definitely want to have g-sync/adaptive sync off though. If youre getting this for that, then look elsewhere. But honestly both those features are pretty irrelevant IMO. Ive tested numerous gaming monitors from cheap to rich pig expensive and not one time was I ever like oh wow! That g-sync really made my experience better! In this monitors case, I find that it reduces performance while not improving picture quality much. Other than that its great.... no dead pixels, only slight ghosting on black screens, pixel response time is fast enough (again, as long as g-sync/adaptive sync are both turned off). Brightness is more than satisfactory for any room that isnt quite literally a room surrounded by glass windows. (outdoor use in the sun would be a bit rough, but who does that?) I have two primary complaints : 1) The curvature pretty much does nothing, as it is too slight for a monitor 27 or larger (i got the 27 here). Might be ok for a 24 or smaller. 2) Every single cable it came with was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Even the power cord! This is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Luckily I had higher quality versions already available to me. Id recommend this to any gamer who isnt a top tier e-sports player and wants to spend a reasonable (as opposed to excessive) amount of money on a good monitor. I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone who thinks g-sync and adaptive sync are essential to their gaming. Obviously considering my cable issues, Id also recommend you purchase your own ahead of time.

> 24 hourThe panel is good, without any dead pixel. Simple, good hertz for the price. The crosshair is terrible, can modify o customize, but i dont needed so, its OK that come with this.

> 24 hourPulled it right out of the box and centered it on my triple monitor stand. Though, after taking a good look at the stand, I can say it was definitely built well. The panel design is absolutely beautiful. At first, I was unsure if I liked the curve, but after a while, it grew on me. Really gives you a feel of quality, if you arent used to it. Kinda like a new car. Setup was a breeze. Freesync came enabled, but the refresh rate will be locked at 60hz until you change it in the advanced display settings in windows. The colors really werent that great out of the box. Fortunately, the user interface on the monitor is very straight forward. After a bit of adjustment, I got the picture I was looking for. I have a 1080p 60hz display that sits next to it. After all the adjustment, it came quite close to the quality, which is pretty good for the panel type. After a bit of playing around and making sure the settings were all functional, I started up a few games. After a short time playing, I quickly noticed it. I was afraid it might happen from all the reviews, but hoped for the best... But to no avail. A dark and very noticeable dead pixel, very close to the center of the screen. Well, it did take a while to notice it. But after seeing it one time, you always see it. And after a while, I started noticing more of them. Right now, I can point out 3 dead pixels. Im willing to bet there is a fourth somewhere, as I havent been looking for very long. So, overall thoughts. I really love the high refresh rate. Im a semi competitive Destiny 2 player, and can definitely make use of the faster response time and added smoothness. Freesync is a huge plus. I have always noticed screen tear and inconsistent frame delivery. This was definitely an upgrade I needed to make. And the price point? I paid $140 for this monitor. Honestly, for the feature set, thats a total steal. The only thing that really urks me is the dead pixel in the center screen... If it were only towards the outside, or maybe a different shade so that it wasnt totally obvious, I would have given this one 5 stars. I will keep it for now. Im even considering ordering two more of them, and putting one without such an obvious dead pixel in the center. For now, I say its worth the purchase.

> 24 hourAfter hooking up this screen, updating the drivers in Windows 11 (seriously, go to the website and update the drivers!), and tweaking some of the screen settings, I noticed that the desktop images have lines in them. There are also other spots I noticed initially, but cant remember exactly where, so Im not sure if the lines are a thing with VA screens or it happens that mine does it but others dont, however, since it isnt noticeable in games and theyre not visible when Im coding or writing, I just will likely learn to ignore it. Besides that, I love having a 1440p screen for just about everything I do. Yes, it gets a little weird when Im scrolling on a doc (from the motion blur), but still, at about 2 feet from the screen it makes everything easier to read and way easier to deal with reading long lines of code or writing and I dont have to scroll as much to keep working on the same section which is definitely nice. Yes, the blur means I can no longer slowly scroll read, but again, since Im scrolling far less, it actually probably is a wash overall. I also absolutely love the high refresh rate even though Im definitely not using it to its fullest with the games I play (LoL, Timberborn, Bloons TD games, etc) and on games where you have fewer graphic control settings (looking at you Bloons) you can get this interesting screen flashing, but its actually pretty minor when you actually are playing, but games where I can control the settings, in the game itself it doesnt happen. It can sometimes occur on loading screens, but again, pretty minor. Overall, its a decent budget 1440p monitor with decent capabilities and fits my desk just fine. I do have it on a monitor arm with my second screen and though the arm was designed for 24 inch monitors, the curve means it can fit the 27 inch just fine without messing up my secondary 24 inch 1080p screens angle. As well, unlike some of the other brands in this price range, it did have a Vesa 100 mount and took a standard computer cable for power, so I didnt have to run a separate cable (I already have a computer cable splitter to power my 2 monitors) versus a lot of brands now, so that was a plus for me, but might not be for you. Lastly, its got a bezel thats not too thick, but the monitor controls without their software are hard to use, so thats also something youll want to download if you buy the monitor to use as you tweak it for your environment.

> 24 hourThis monitors attributes come together to make it what I think is the best gaming monitor on the market. Low motion blur (which is amazing), 144hz, 1ms response time, good quality picture and 2k. The best part of it being the low motion blur, its hard to find 1ms 144hz monitors with low motion blur, and it makes gaming on this better than any monitor Ive used. The world of gaming monitors is confusing and the price of a monitor doesnt equal the quality, but to put it simply, if anything, this monitor is massively under-priced.
