Greater than one weekI just upgraded to this monitor and what a difference. I updated my whole computer 2 years ago but never change the monitor. I saw a huge difference then and I saw another one when I switched to this monitor. Fast response times and great fps. Cant beat this monitor for price.

> 3 dayUPDATE: 3/25/2023 Ive had this monitor for three years now. it does show some age in the form of some random color bars across the bottom of the screen, like in the windows taskbar. they only appear when it first turns on (cold) but they have never lasted longer than it takes me to log into windows (warms up). By my guesstimation, its just the monitor warming up. everything else is still working flawlessly. I dont have much of a baseline to compare longevity but Im still very happy with this purchase. (: ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this monitor with my very own hard earned cash and am receiving nothing for this review except the satisfaction of paying it forward to fellow entry gamers, or just anybody who cares about how black vs white or really any color for that matter look on their pc. most of the reviews here are most likely going to be first impressions and may not be updated if the monitor were to fail, mine is not that. Ive had this monitor for one year and it still works as new. Ive always thought any device would last longer when used at lower power usage and my eyes get tired quickly if I run the brightness to high, as writing this I have the brightness at 20% and contrast at 50%. I was very concerned, a year ago, when I purchased this about dead pixels so I am sure that you are as well, the way I countered this concern was to get a 4 year protection plan with my monitor this added $30 to the $150 monitor totaling $180. I cant see it unless I look for it but there is one spot covering about 6 pixels (two tall three wide) where I accidentally had a butterfly knife fly at my monitor and left a small nick in it, to the quality though all of those pixels behind the nick still work perfectly. the bottom right corner of the screen must be where the power supply is because the brighter its set the hotter that spot gets, at 20% brightness the whole screen is cool to the touch and that spot is warm to the touch, even at 100% I dont think it could burn you. the things I think are best about this monitor would be the 144Hz, you can easily notice this by dragging and window in circles, and I really dont know how to explain this but the colors just look so GOOD, anybody who has used a cheapo monitor knows what that white and blue film and washed out blacks looks like. I guess a good way to say it would be that the blacks are very deep and the rainbow colors are very vibrant. with all of the options out there that Im sure your confused about (because I sure was) this one worked great for me and will probably work great for you as well.

06-06-2025So other than the questionable appearance of the damaged packaging the product inside appears to be everything Id hoped. I was concerned due to a few reviews referring to dead pixels and the warranty not covering it unless they are in a row... This is sort of a rotten thing when they advertise a 3 year dead pixel warranty. No mention about in a row type thing. In my experience I rarely had more than 1 pixel out at a time and usually if I had more than one they were never near each other and they are distracting when they catch your attention. I thankfully do not seemingly have any pixel issues. 144hz is up and running, actually think Im getting a bit more. The monitor has a section that reports the Hz and if freesync is active. The monitor has great articulation for the price point, and though I wasnt sure Id like the curve, I dont have an issue with it. I would still be fine with flat but I figured why not at this price point. As for the controls and settings in the monitor, there are many. I heard a complaint about it not holding settings in some situations but luckily for me the out of box settings are seemingly good for me. Putting the monitor together was cake, pretty much tooless assembly, unless you want to snug up the base a bit. CABLES, it comes with both a HDMI and DisplayPort Cable along with the power cable. The fact cables are included was nice I think the DP and HDMI cables are around 4-6ft long probably on the longer side. The power cable is a typical PSU style power cable and about the same length. Still not a complaint just an observation. All in all you will be hard press to get this much value at this price range. AOC has come a long way from the last time I had one in my possession. Will update this review in the future if needed, but if things work out this will stand as is.
