The protection is good. Nice to have large space for larger plugs. I think at least 2 outlets are switched ; which is a good feature. I think its a good buy.

Just got this item in the mail. Went to plug the unit in and the holes to plug items into are way too loose for the items being plugged in. My apple chargers, just fell out, my heating pad, bump the plug and fell out. Only my lamp plug actually pushed and seated firmly into this unit. I am returning this tomorrow.

Great design! Alternating socket directions make it possible to plug in all of my stuff! Finally!

does the job

Great looking and fairly priced power strip. Has plenty of room for larger plugs that have a built in transformer. From previous experience, APC is good quality product from the Schneider Group. I decided to purchase this product to replace my failed cheaper power strip made by another manufacturer. I like the fact that I may close the shutters for any unused receptacles (hot and neutral only). The USB ports are a nice addition as well. I wish they had shutters as well, but they don’t. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Product lasted with regular use for about 4 months then shorted out without warning. Luckily all my stuff on my computer automatically backs up or I would have lost 60 hours of digital artwork.

I would buy more. I like it
