> 24 hourThe box was crushed :/ so I was concerned that the glass test tube was broken, but thankfully it was fine!

> 24 hourI’ve ordered 3 api kits off amazon and 2/3 have been open with the test tube and test solution fallen out. They haven’t been broken. The brand works and is the most commonly used. A good tip is to test your tap water first and remember the shade of the color as your baseline

> 24 hourI like to keep track of my Nitrates, they help me determine when a water change is needed. I think it is very accurate. I would buy again! I just fill the tube up to the measuring line with tank water, then add the drops according to the directions. You must follow the directions exactly as written. Use bottle one, then shake up bottle 2 for 30 seconds. Then add the drops and shake for 1 minute. Its a little more work then test strips, but way more accurate.

> 24 hourWe recently started a new 10-gallon tank (with fish). Unfortunately I learned about tank cycling after we purchased the tank and fish. The Nitrites spike a week or so in and I was using the (more expensive) multi-tests. The multi-tests worked fine (and were consistent with this product), but after a week or so I really only needed to test for the Nitrite. The test is simple and easy to read and can be operated by my 9 year old.

> 24 hourAdd the drops to the vial of aquarium water and wait 5 minutes, compare the color to the color chart on the provided card - not hard. API has been around a long time, so I will assume accuracy of the test results.

> 24 hourThis is a good kit. Lots of tests left in the kit after the initial cycling of the tank. I bought this separately because I still have some old Doc Wellfish (same company..old moniker) Ammonia, Nitrate, Ph, GH, and KH, kits...they still work and they are over 18 years old! Much better than strips. If youre starting from scratch...I would get the master kit.
