> 3 daySince I dont have a precision scientific equipment to compare the test results to, I cant say whether it is accurate or not. I just have to go by faith. The problem I have is with the color coded card. I dont know why it jumps from 2.0 ppm to 5.0. In addition, the shades of purple for these 2 values are just about the same. Sure, under bright light, the purple for 5.0 is (very) slightly darker than that for 2.0; however, since youve to compare the color of the glass tube to the chart, the colors of these 2 values are practically indistinguishable as are the colors for 0.25, 0.50 and 1.0. Sad to say I dont find the test very useful. All the shades of purple are too similar to make an accurate diagnosis.

> 3 dayAPI liquid test kits are among the best and most accurate. You cant go wrong with these. They are more accurate than the various test strips for sale, Check out various aquarium forums and you will see a lot of recommendations for API test kits.

> 3 dayThe test kit works great. However, the vials leak water when you shake or even turn them over.

> 3 dayIve used this for years and love it. I stupidly ordered this by accident INSTEAD of the nitrate test kit because I cant tell the difference between a letter change, I guess (to be fair, theyre obnoxiously similar sounding terms even though AMMONIA is ALSO a form of nitrogen and yet IT doesnt have the pre-fix nitro- in the beginning of ITS name; wtf, chemistry?!)
