Appion MGAVCT 1/4 MegaFlow Vacuum-Rated Valve Core Removal Tool

I purchased this tool as insurance in case my suction line valve core needed to be replaced. In my case it was just loose; tightening the core fixed the problem. I still decided to try it out on a valve core to see how well it would work if I ever do need it. The short answer is that it came adjusted perfectly, and it grips the valve core tightly enough that I would not worry about losing it inside the tool. I ran the core up and down through the tool numerous times and it didnt show even a hint of coming loose. I compared this to one of the cheaper tools that has a magnet to hold the core, and the difference is huge. The one with the magnet held the core very lightly and it was easy to dislodge it with minimal force. I would be very nervous using that one on a charged refrigerant line. I know there is a big price difference between the cheap units and this one, but how much would it cost to evacuate your system, pump it down, and then recharge it if the valve core dropped off the tool? Dont chance it. Go with quality and youll breathe easier.

Love this tool. Makes taking out cores very easy. Ive had a few others that get the job done but this one has been the best. Comes with a rebuil kit as well so you dont have to worry about buying one for if it fails. I use this all the time and it helps me to pull quick vacuums as well.

This little thing helped me get a vacuum down to 200 microns. I would recommend you keep the Schrader IN the tool when you take it out before the process. Just makes it easier

I use this with my micro gauge to get a deep vacuum. Its been working great so far.
