04-06-2025I had use a cheaper knockoff on Amazon that was half the price. Well, It cost me way more money in lost time, and in Lost Freon. I paid for the right tool this time and this tool is the best. I cant believe how much better this was than the last one I had. Absolutely no one leak. I didnt have to crank down on it either. It actually holds without leaking even in a negative 30Hg. I did have a problem taking out one of the schrader valves but it was because I didnt get in all the way in. I had no problem once I tried again. I just line up the square part of the schrader valve like a USB port in a computer and make sure the two aline...then it comes out easy. This is a cant live without tool if you must touch your AC unit even ONE TIME. Trust me you dont want to lose your Freon or worst yet get injured when the knock off explodes like mine did. I already own Appion G 5 Twin which is the best and now this Appion MGAVCT 1/4 MegaFlow Vacuum-Rated Valve Core Removal Tool completes me. Just BUY 2 and that me later.

Greater than one weekThis tool is the best in my opinion. Easy to get low vacuum with this and a good hose. I like the magnet on the plunger knob too.

> 3 dayI have used this twice and it never leaked any refrigerant. A must have tool if you dont want any refrigerant loss during valve core replacement. Also allows a faster charge by removing the valve core.

> 3 dayFive stars all the way around. Stay away from the Hilmor ones. They’ve failed so many times - appion makes quality. You get what you pay for. Cheap tools aren’t good. Good tools aren’t cheap.

> 3 dayI’ve been using 2 Appion core removers, primarily when pulling vacuums on walk-ins and larger systems. So far they have worked great. No issues with removing or reinstalling valve cores. Tip: after removing the core remover altogether, use a torque core remover/tightener to make sure the cores are tightened correctly.
