> 3 dayI live in the desert. Usually, as most deserts are, it’s hot and sunny. When it rains, it really rains suddenly and ferociously. It’s so infrequent that I often don’t have an umbrella handy. This umbrella solves that problem. It is tiny. It fits easily into a purse; it’s unnoticeable in a backpack. You could carry it in your hand and not notice it. It doesn’t take up a lot of room anywhere. Yet it opens into a full sized (single person) umbrella. It is layered, so the rain does not soak through, even when it’s intense. It dries quickly. The other part of desert weather is the sun. Although humans have created lots of artificial shade, there are still lots of open areas where the sun, especially in the summer, can be absolutely brutal. I’m not a big fan of the brightness either, so anything that can keep the sun off you even a little is a blessing. You’ll see all the cars clustered around a tiny sapling of a tree for that one branch of shade. This umbrella is opaque due to the black layer and has SPF protection (not all umbrellas provided a lot), so you can take your shade with you. Again, the extremely small size is convenient, since you can tuck it in your bag when you’re done with it and find it there on that day you get a terrible parking space a half mile away from your office. The pink is a beautiful shade as well. Maybe it helps reflect some of the heat back. It’s at least psychologically better than a black umbrella is. It will match my pink luggage when I travel. Since I love to travel to wet places like Miami or the east coast, I’m always needing an umbrella when I travel, but I forget that it rains elsewhere and never have an umbrella with me. This one won’t take up any room at all. Very useful umbrella.

> 3 dayThis is a small umbrella but works great. It pops open super fast and closes just as easily. I keep this in my car for emergencies and already have used it a bunch of times.

> 3 dayThe first time I used it it broke. A waste of money. I wish I could give it less than one star. It is cheaply made It was lightweight and packed in my suitcase well…. I left it in Paris in the trash.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is perfect for traveling or when youre not sure if itll rain. Its small enough to fit inside a fanny pack while still having room for a couple of other things. Its not an automatic push-button umbrella, but its easy enough to open. The cover it provides is more than enough for one person and might cover 2 people if theyre close enough.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is very well made. The umbrellas fabric seems to be a lot more durable than any other travel/compact umbrella Ive owned. It feels sturdy when opened and the ribs feel solid and not flimsy like most other small umbrellas. I had to push up a little harder than I expected to lock it open (based on the umbrellas Ive owned in the past) but I think its because I was afraid to force it since other umbrellas have always seemed like they may break if I push too hard. When it locked, it created a tight and big-enough canopy. The release button is very comfortable, too. I really like the duo-tone color of the umbrella. Between the color and the texture of the fabric, it looks very high-end. Putting a travel umbrella back in the bag is usually frustrating, so I braced myself for a struggle. I didnt try to wrap it up neatly. The strap pulled the umbrella in nicely and it was easy to snap together. I turned down the top of the storage sleeve and the umbrella went back in without issue. Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised. I have a two-week trip coming up during late fall when the weather can be uncertain so this umbrella will DEFINITELY be going with me.

Greater than one weekNo more fumbling with the purse umbrella! Easy to grab and one hand deploy. It’s a nice thick material but not heavy. I also like that while it collapses and fits well in my purse, when it’s open it’s much larger than my old purse umbrella! Very reasonably priced for the quality and size!

> 3 dayThis is a folding umbrella with an ultra-small form factor. Folded and in its sleeve, the umbrella measures 7.5”x3”x1.5” and weighs 8 oz. It has a unique rectangular handle that encourages more rectangular than round folded shape. The rod is steel, while the ribs are a hybrid of steel in the center and plastic towards the outer rim. The top of the canopy is available in several colors, while the underside is painted black for sun protection. The rod is telescoping with a manual mechanism; it is 21” when fully extended. The canopy is 35” in diameter when fully extended. I am very impressed with the small size and light weight of this umbrella. It is perfect for travel when every inch and ounce counts. I also like the manual mechanism for the rod. I’ve had several otherwise perfect umbrellas fail due to an overly powerful spring-loaded extension mechanism that simply broke the 2nd or 3rd time I used them. Yes, you need 2 hands to extend this umbrella, but you’re not going to break it just by pushing the button to open it. The umbrella is not the largest that I have tried, but it’s not excessively small either, especially compared to its folded size. I have to admit, I was dubious when I first saw the small package that it came in, but indeed, the umbrella is fully functional, and I hope to get years of use out of it. Overall, this umbrella is a great choice for packing light.
