> 3 dayI bought this for my granddaughter. She is a beginner watercolorist. I think these blocks are great as they have good quality paper and the block holds it flat so that it will not buckle and pool the paint...which is very frustrating for a beginner. Ive used these myself. Very convenient.

> 3 dayThe Arches Aquarelle is excellent paper. The block format prevents imperfections in the paper surface from having been touched, either in the factory or at the store. Greasy fingers make the watercolor look splotchy. The chemical treatment for absorption slowing is IN the paper rather than ON the paper and it is cotton rag rather than wood pulp. If you want to have a satisfying session of painting by watercolor, THIS is the product to get. It IS expensive. But if you buy the cheap stuff, you may eventually loose the enthusiasm for painting at all.

> 3 dayArches is my favorite watercolor paper. Worth the price to me. It is sturdy and flawless. I spend a lot of time on a painting so I invest in something that will last for a long time.

> 3 dayThe quality is good, but the only thing made me wonder was that I did not see the arches watermark anywhere. I am not sure if Arches is still watermark its 140lb CP block.

> 3 dayThis is not a toy. It is watercolor paper of the highest quality. In painting with watercolors your paper is of the most importance.
