I took my time multiple times, using the pea method, then the x method, then finally the thin spread and all of them ended up making my temps worst. Is it possible that the fault is my own? maybe but for now I purchased a more expensive product and will try it again soon.

> 24 hourThere are a lot of great thermal compounds on the market, but none of them come close to MX-4 for the price. Ive overhauled 2 laptops and 2 desktops so far this year, and I used MX-4 on all of them. I noticed a drastic improvement in cooling after re-pasting both laptop CPUs, and theyre still running as cool as they were the day I put them back together. I installed new processors in both desktops, and neither have experienced issues with cooling (even though they are both small form factor cases with powerful CPUs and GPUs installed under heavy work loads) after using this thermal paste for the re-builds. In other words, its 4 for 4 so far for me, and I have yet to see a drop in performance.
