> 24 hourI have been reassembling an old netbook and upgrading the processor to something more powerful (Frankencomputer as I call it). After I put the computer together, I noticed it was overheating, freezing, and shutting down. I did not have thermal paste, just a heatsink and saw my temps running upwards of 94C then shutting down. After applying thermal paste to my cpus and gpu, the core temperature rarely exceeds 85C even when pushing the older computer. On average it runs around 80-82C when it used to be running around 90-92C before overheating. This is a drastic decrease in temp and since I have applied the paste I have not had any temperature shutdowns/freezes. This paste was also super easy to apply. I just used the pea method and reattached the heatsinks. No curing time needed. For 12$, it was a great play and I have some left for other projects. Get it!
