Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

I got this product along with a cpu cooler that turned out to be too big for my case so I had to reinstall the stock cpu cooler. Core temps were no lower with this product than the original setup. I later installed a different after market cpu cooler using this thermal grease and saw little if any reduction in core temps. Certainly theres nothing wrong with Arctic Silver but it didnt live up to the hype.

I was terrible in Chemistry/Physics/even Math, in high school--but I killed the ACT composite without studying, due to my comprehension skills. Back then PCs just werent even real computers yet (Im 43, that was 1986). So when I learned I loved working on/using computers, I felt challenged, until I had some successes, then really got into building my own HTPCs. Now I do it all sorts of computer repairs, so I know good stuff.
