Value is great. They get the job done! They don’t last long for coarse hair. Great for beginners. The feathers are where it’s at, especially if you have coarse hair and know how to properly shave.

These are by far the best blades Ive ever used for my DE razor. For $8 youll get a set of nice blades thatll last you years. Sure beats spending $10-30 per MONTH on blades from for your modern razor Gillette or Dollar Shave Club. Seriously, if youre not already using a DE razor, get one, and use these blades. Youll never go back.

I tried the Gillette platinum, RK, nacet. This one is the least comfortable, always had burns and necks.

these blades are as good as any you will find. cheap enough that you dont have to use dull blades any more. try them and you wont regret it.

When it comes to double edge single blades I didnt need to look beyond the Astra Platinum. They reminded me of what I remember about the Gillette Platinum Plus blades from the 60s-70s! Smooth AND sharp and they last LONGER! If push came to shove I could easily double the number of shaves per blade and not sacrifice much! At less than 10 cents per blade that isnt necessary but it feels good to know that I could!!! I dont shave as often as I use to do which makes a single-blade razor all the more important. Multiblade razors just dont cut it on longer growth! They do fine at keeping a clean shave but they are an expensive one trick pony I sometimes use to stay clean shaven for several days on rare occasion. For that purpose they are fast and comfortable but not really necessary. I use Astras in a collection of vintage razors 70+ years old that are as good as the day they were made!!
