> 24 hourI was looking forward to my first Asus laptop after using HP products for over 10 years. Right away I was wishing I had purchased an Omen or Envy. The set up process was difficult, getting used to the various quirks and making disappointing discoveries day after day. After about a week I had it all set up the way I liked it. Several months later things began to go downhill. The audio jack failed, now the wifi card is on its way out. The integrated speakers are garbage and it runs hot. Hotter than my 7 year old Envy. I will say that the Geforce card is great as well as the Ryzen processor. Removing the underbelly to perform upgrades is tricky and should be done with caution. Ill be using this as a back-up laptop.

> 24 hourGood for only old games. Not Tuf at all, keyboard broke within 5 months. Constant blue screen. Bluetooth will not connect ever. Toggling bluetooth causes freezing. keyboard flimsy, plastic is so soft and was brushed plastic so it scratches so easily just from handling it.

> 24 hourIt sucks up all the battery due to the keyboard. If you leave it un plugged it’s dead by the time you use it again. Some of the buttons don’t work properly. It has frozen up on me a few times and it has given me issues with my headset not being recognized.

> 24 hourVery nice laptop. I retired my dying 12 year old toshiba for this. It does everything wonderfully except its fan control. I understand and dont want it overheating but when chrome is running theres a high pitched ring. The kind of ringing that suggests the fans are on low with a pitch high enough to pierce your ears rather badly after 20-30min in a quiet place. Usually theres noise around so this doesnt matter too much but even putting it on myASUS silent mode(shuts off 1650 and throttles ryzen); it still sounds deafening in quiet places.

> 24 hourSo this laptop seems amazing so far but for it to really shine it needs a second stick of RAM for that dual channel. However, when i opened up my case to see what Im rocking for RAM I found, as far as i can tell, that i was STIFFED. Instead of the 2666Mhz DDR4 8GB stick I got something with 3200MT/s (Still DDR4 8GB). From what i can find 3200MT/s is only clocked at 1600Mhz. Thats a far cry from 2666Mhz. My choices are to buy two sticks of identical ram (defeating the purpose of saving money) or return this laptop which could take weeks now that COVID is in full swing. The latter is not an option because Im paying for an online class right now. ASUS support was of no help they just kept regurgitating the specs of the pc back at me.
