FOR PEOPLE WHO DON’T WANT TO READ: -Fantastic color range (in racing mode) -Fantastic viewing angles -Sleek design -Overall great monitor Now to the nitty-gritty: This monitor is super stylish. Despite it only being a 24” panel, it looks massive due to the lack of bezels. With that being said though, I am coming from an ASUS VG248QE monitor, which the bezels are very big on that. It has a fantastic range of color, I found that putting it in “racing” mode is the most color accurate. Only other setting I changed was bumping the blue from 100 to 99. Fantastic viewing angles, and blacks definitely look as black as they can get without using an OLED panel. My only complaint was a tiny scratch/indent on the bottom bezel. With that being said though, the scratch kinda looks like an M so my pea brain thinks it’s kinda cool. Either way, I can’t see it past my microphone so I guess it doesn’t matter.

Great for 144 hz 1080p on a budget. Free sync is underrated with this if you’re using an nvidia Gpu I feel no lag and no screen tear of course.

Bought the monitor a few months ago, works great, is absolutely amazing but the only issue for me is that it is much to big for my desk which is not a very long length. Thus, I am desperately trying to get rid of it for a fair price since it is too late to return. Selling it for 200 or best offer. message my reddit u/usa-chann

I received this product with a dead pixel in the bottom left of the screen. It was out of the way and doesn’t bother me so I didn’t make a big deal of it but it is a bit annoying paying this price for a product just to have a small defect right away out of the box. If it would have been in the middle of my screen this may have been much different as I’m pretty sure the warranty for this you must have 3 or more dead pixels for a return. Although, I am not positive on this. I just didn’t want to look into it. I love the quality and the features it has. You definitely won’t be disappointed with this monitor. The tilt and spin capabilities is awesome. You can adjust the height of the screen to your liking. The blue light filter is something I originally didn’t care about but now I find myself using it from time to time. The only other complaint I have is the set up of gsync/freesync. It is somewhat difficult to figure out and once I got it I was getting occasional flashes of a black screen. The only thing I wish this monitor had was easier compatibility with gsync and obviously no dead pixels. I understand dead pixels can happen on any monitor but seeing a black spec on your brand new screen is slightly disappointing.. that’s the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I have no complaints and this is a great product!

When you spend $250 on a Gaming monitor, you would expect an Audio OUTPUT device! Nothing! Just awfull speaker and 0 headphone jack or any other output! DO NOT BUY! Yeah the graphics are somewhat decent, but when you turn games up to the full max and still cant hear through the cheesy speakers...You have lost money!!! Not worth the buy

This is my first and last monitor Ill purchase from ASUS. Sadly, as you can see from the above pictures I have a single pixel defect on each. The first has a stuck red pixel. Programs that supposedly unstuck a stuck pixel did not work after a couple of hours and Im sure not going to press physically against it like some websites suggest. If it remained stuck it might as well be dead. So I refunded and tried again ... and ... I get monitor with a dead pixel! See the other picture. Sadly Ill take my $250 lost and call it a day and just leave this review here for anyone that stumbles upon it and hopefully I can save you a headache or two. The monitor is great when I can force myself to forget theres a dead pixel but quality control leaves much to be desired. PS: I understand the concept of pixel lottery and I dont care, Id keep refunding until Id get a perfect one but Im too afraid to get flagged by Amazon for refunding for a single pixel defect twice in a row. Doesnt the fact I have to gamble for a perfect monitor sound stupid to you because thats what I did here and lost.

I bought this as my only option for a 144hz monitor with a non-TN PANEL. I am blown away by the quality. I only wish it had the updated control buttons as the GUI is kind of terrible

So I’ll break this down into 3 categories. Things I like, things I don’t like, and who I would recommend this monitor to. First off, things I like? - I think the overall picture quality is amazing. It provides a snappy crisp image that with a little bit of tweaking in the monitor settings, you can make vibrant and colorful. This is all done without any screen bleeding or tearing. - Number two for me has to be the size and look of the monitor. I tend to gravitate towards a more minimalist look for anything gaming related. I like character but I don’t like anything over the top topically. This monitor provides extremely thin bezels making the monitor feel and play more like a 24in. This doesn’t take up a lot of desk space which makes it perfect for duel monitor setups especially with the thin bezels and the ability to attach this to a monitor mount. The monitor has the brushed dark gunmetal grey sliver frame with some black as well giving it a nice sleek character with little red accents in places like the base stand. - Third I like the adjustability of the monitor. You can rotate it 360 degrees and lean it forwards, backwards, and also adjust the height quite a bit. Now things I don’t like. - the monitor doesn’t have an opening in the stand to rout cables through like the VG245 had which can make hiding the cables a little more difficult. -Second is that this monitor only has one HDMI port, now this does have a display port and comes with a display cable, this isn’t anything you need to worry about if you are a console gamer. I wish this had two HDMI ports instead of one because having to switch cables going between consoles, or a laptop or pc can get annoying. -My last complaint is the navigation buttons on the monitor to navigate through the settings. Now while this was pretty easy to adjust to I still wasn’t the biggest fan. I prefer what the did on monitors like the VG245 where the had a joystick on the back of the monitor that made navigating through the menu much easier. Now who would I recommend this monitor to? - I think this is the perfect monitor for anyone who is playing on the new set of consoles or any PC or laptop that caps at anything higher than 175hcz. I think this is also the perfect monitor for anyone who competes on a shooter like cod or halo especially with its response time. If you want a perfect medium to smaller sized monitor for any kind of desk gaming I think this is perfect. Now you will definitely have to mess with the monitor settings in fact I will put mine down here - I play on FPS mode -blue light filter 0 -brightness 100 -contrast 85 -saturation 90 -color temp “cool” -skin tone reddish -sharpness 60 -trace free 60 And everything else leave the same as it comes. If you want a crisp smooth playing experience with vibrant beautiful colors than I highly recommend this. Weather you are competing on it or just casually playing solo or with friends on any of the new consoles or on a pc that caps under 175hcz than I think this is your best choice for the overall package. I hope this helped.

Compared to the other monitors Ive used this one is probably my favorite. My 1440p monitor didnt have as much saturation and had lower refreshrate, my other 144hz 1080p monitor was a bit large for 1080p meaning I could see some of the pixels or jagged edges and this one is just perfect. Great picture, 144hz, the right size for its resolution and has built in speakers which is nice for youtube while in bed. Might I mention, theres tons of visual customization with this baby? There is and its awesome.

Designed for intense, fast-paced games, The Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q is a 23.8” Gaming IPS display with 1ms (MPRT) response time and blazing 144Hz refresh rate to give you super-smooth game play. The VG249Q features Free Sync compatibility and elmb technology to eliminate ghosting.
