Plugged it in to my laptop and it does NOT work!!!!!!

This has been a really great monitor for the price. I mostly use it to play PS4 and occasionally when I work from home. It performs really well when playing Playstation, had to tweak the display settings a bit, but found a sweet spot. Having the 3.5mm output on the back is nice for consoles, I just plugged in a small soundbar to the monitor for sound. All in all a great monitor, especially for the price.

I needed a new 27 monitor. I picked a 27 TV, considering prices. Said monitor came with a very very weak sound. Item returned. I purchased the Asus VY279HE 27” model. It does not have speakers, but it has a headphone, that is not operational. It has two inputs: One is VGA, one is HDMI. I am using the VGA input from two desktops, via a kybd switcher, with a resolution 1080p. Excellent picture! There is one control, finger reached from the right lower quadrant. It is a joystick Push in: Menu appears: up: Signal in. Down: Brightness control: Left: Exit. Right: Power. I Love it! Power on and Power off are automatic, following the startup / shutdown of the attached computer(s).

No sound whatsoever and the hdmi cable was broken, which broke my computers hdmi port. The ASUS support team was not able to help in any way. Very disappointed.

After four weeks, a vertical line appeared on the center of screen. I sent back it . Its more than one week no news. It seems theyre going to repair it but I dont trust repair screen. I want fund return.

I currently use it as a second monitor for the office and works well. Can adjust brightness. As expected.

I really dont look for too much in a monitor, but these ones are nice. I got two, broke one by accident, but they are pretty good quality. I like IPS monitors and the size is really something to look at. I was used to a 22 before this and this is a nice upgrade. I think I got them on sale. Wish the price didnt go up so high or Id get a new one. Oh well.

I run an office with 50 desks, each with dual monitors (100+ monitors total). One died (the image controller was broken). We sent it off for repair, but they said it sustained physical damage. That must have happened during the RMA Shipping process. They refused to talk to shipper, and wanted to charge me almost $300 for repair and return shipping. That is $100 MORE then buying a new one. Denied the repair, and returned it to us. Will NOT be buying anymore Asus monitors, due to terrible warranty support.

The difference in a standard DELL monitor and this one are so apparent. I used to have issues with blurriness and not able to use the computer for extended periods of time, but now thats not the case.
