The attic tent was recommended by my hvac guy, but he want to charge twice what this cost to provide and install it. Even though I didnt crawl up in the attic myself to install it, I knew it was a DIY item. I got my husband to do it! The only issue was leveling the attic rough in. The tent itself was installed with no problem. Ive noticed that the AC doesnt kick on as often and there is a lower amount of dust in the house. I also found some pleated air filters for the air return that fit the opening exactly. I had to order because the size is not carried in the home improvement stores. All in all, this is a good product Id recommend.

Installed just fine, but the zipper is really cheap and flimsy. The attic tent claims to be an air barrier, but you can literally see straight through the zipper. The construction otherwise seems fine, but it hardly seems worth the effort to caulk it with the Achilles heel of the zipper.

I simply lined it up around my attic hatch, stapled it in place with 3/8 (10mm) staples. Then used an expanding foam sealant around the inside base to seal it. My thermostat is almost directly below my attic stairs. Previously, it would either run continously, or not at all. I can immediately see an improvement and expect to see lower energy bills as a result.

Seems to have a made a big improvement for the room right below the attic access. It is no longer the hottest room in the house during the summer.

Works great at keeping heat or cold in the attic and out of the house. A must have for those who has the ac/heater unit in the hallway under the attic door. Saves on power!

Feels durable and built of quality. I have an opening Identical to the display picture. The installation is easy, was only a pain in the a** because I installed it in the summer time when it is unbearable in our attic. I used nails and spaced them apart a bit closer than instructed. I do not feel anywhere near the same amount of draft coming in. I cannot say if this has saved me money on my utility bill as it was the end of the summer. I can say that my room which is right below the attic felt cooler than before this. For the price and quality, I am satisfied! I would recommend this to a friend or relative.

My attic was frosting pretty bad on a cold winter. Tried to figure out why and discovered the amount of heat gushing through the attic ladder hatch. Since I installed it the attic dried out completely. Before I was thinking for improving the attic insulation but actually the real problem was my attic hatch. Never was quite concern over the few extra dollars that Im probably loosing due to heat loss but the moist attic was going to develop a more serious damage to the roof deck over time. This one fixed it. It works as advertised and its relatively easy to use. Its just a zipper.

Seems very good quality, and very easy to install. My only worry is the zipper, if it will last.

As advertised, Attic Tent greatly reduced air passing from attic to living area. Cover is great for occasional attic access, but needs to be stiffer or have some type of frame for more frequent use.
