> 3 dayI use this brand exclusively for quilting. It is a cross wound thread so I do need to use a thread stand but I don’t mind. It isn’t fuzzy like a lot of brands which means my machine doesn’t have to be cleaned as often .

> 3 dayIve sewn most of my life, but till recently, did not know that various brands of thread could perform so differently. I first tried Aurifil thread because my local quilt shop sold it; I needed a large spool of black for several projects. I was amazed at how well it performed compared to other brands. It goes through my machine smoothly and does not snag. It has a perfectly consistent width and its very strong; I sew purses and bags, and it holds up to a lot of stress. I use three colors for every bag I make, and I go through a lot of thread very quickly. I like the size of these large spools; they fit easily on a regular sewing machine. I like to fill 3-4 bobbins with the colors I will use the most on each bag I make; it saves lots of time later when Im immersed in my project. I dont get any skipped stitches and it makes beautiful topstitching. I eventually switched all my thread to Aurifil and now thats all I will use. I highly recommend you try it.
