> 3 dayThis 250 GB Portable Solid State USB Drive is being used exclusively on my Fire TV cube for extended storage. Its small form factor, UASP functionality and wide OS compatibility makes it a perfect candidate. I’m seeing a definite speed improvement in how quickly apps load from the USB drive in comparison to the internal storage. There are a lot of family photos, purchased music and hundreds of podcast files being stored on it and haven’t encountered any file access errors or disappearing content one time. Even during heavy usage, it doesn’t produce much noise. It has gotten a little hot while data is being written or read from it. That’s to be expected with such blazing fast access speeds. Thoroughly impressed how well it works on my Fire TV Cube though.

> 3 dayI have the 250 GB model. This flash drive can be attached to a keychain, if the keychain will fit through the small hole. It has a For the end to keep the connector clean. The speed is nice, but not as fast as what it shows. But this can certainly have something to do with the computers that I use. I think that speed would be faster if there was a USB – C connector. But overall I am happy with this flash drive.

> 3 dayI was getting tired of cluttering up my workstation with large external hard drives and SSDs, so I was really excited to try this USB-size SSD. The AXE drive comes FAT formatted with 465GB free. It is rated USB 3.2 Gen 2, with 600MB/s read and 500MB/s write speed. It’s nice and small, about the size of a standard USB stick. It comes with a cap that snaps over the USB port and can be stored on the opposite end of the drive so that you don’t lose it. Performance: The performance of the drive seems very fast compared to other external drives that I have used. I actually got 522MB/s write speed at one point. The read speed wouldnt reach quite the 600MB/s rating, but that could because my laptop hard drive couldn’t go any faster. The one form factor disadvantage is the length of the drive is enough that you can accidentally bend the USB connector if you are not careful and try to set the drive down at an angle or if something pushes up on the drive. I have broken other drives this way so I will have to be careful. Some of the other reviews mentioned that the SSD got hot - but I only found that it got slightly warm while I was doing the writing test, nothing abnormal at all. Thoughts: Its a huge 500GB SSD, packed into a device the size of a typical flash drive. The read and write speeds are fantastic, and its so much faster than your standard flash drive. There are really no negatives to speak of - just be careful not to lose it or accidentally bend it.
