> 24 hourI stuffed a 3 split extension cable a baby camera plug and a standard plug in the case. It creaked and moaned but it closed and stayed closed. Good construction. Very well made.

> 24 hourI had boxes in front of my outlet to prevent my 2 year old to get to it. I saw other Amazon cover boxes that kids easily opened or took off. This one comes with an outlet plate you can screw in and has a 2 step lock with a dial like a safe. My son tried a few times to open it and mess with it. He couldn’t get into it at all. Now he leaves it alone. Worth it.

> 24 hourI installed this in my Hawaiian vacation condo on top of an outlet which is dedicated to the plug from my window AC. The AC outlet has a mechanical (windup) four hour timer to keep my guests from leaving the AC on while they travel around doing tourist kinds of things. Electricity in Hawaii is three or four times what it is on the mainland. The outlet in on a dedicated circuit plug just for the AC. One of my guests recently decided to get around the timer limitation by plugging the AC into another nearby outlet which is on the same circuit as the TV, music system, and the laptop. Needless to say, this could have been dangerous and I wanted to avoid that in the future. The box does not come with a single plug outlet cover, but I was able to find one that, by a little experimenting, I was able to get to work with the box. While there is no lock on the box, I think that the knobs will work well enough to deter a future guest from circumventing the timer again. If not, I think I will have to drill holes and use a padlock.

> 24 hourUsed 2 of these in our kids room (2&4) to keep them away from the plugs and lights and they are a breeze to install took maybe 3 min each. So far, they’re great, though the kids have left them alone. We don’t really need/use the “lock”

> 24 hourThis thing definitely isnt winning any interior design awards. Its cheap flimsy plastic. But it worked as advertised to prevent our toddler from unplugging our lamp.
